Position Description:

The Sr. Director of Store Finance supporting Operations will serve as the financial business partner for the SVP Operations and his/her leadership team. This role provides total financial leadership, direction and analysis to the functional management team by: shaping business strategy, driving financial performance, running the business and financial processes, ensuring value is captured from acquisitions, communicating clearly and simply to the leadership team about the business.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES –

  • 20% Provide business and financial leadership in the annual strategic planning process, biannual financial planning process, business reviews and executive level P&L reviews
  • 20% Develop and influence the operations business strategy, playing a key role on the operations leadership team.
  • 20% Provide detailed P&L management including sales forecasting and expense control
  • 15% Ensure value is driven/captured from acquisitions, providing oversight on integration efforts and ensuring business decisions are consistent with investment thesis
  • 10% Partner with internal groups to ensure data integrity/reporting
  • 10% Develop and maintain highly effective team: manage talent and diversity
  • 5% Capital allocation - prioritize projects, develop cost benefit analyses, and manage overall budget

NATURE AND SCOPE - Position reports to the VP Finance, US Stores and Outside Sales & Service.  Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS –

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 10

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Finance degree, MBA, or CPA, 15 years of relevant experience, retail experience, multi-location field finance experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
- Quantitative analyses, evaluation analyses, computer skills, forecasting capabilities, supervisory/management experience
