*Role Description*

The Sr. Director Finance, Oncology will be responsible for financial leadership, business consultation and analytical support of the North America region as well as Global Commercial function and activities. The incumbent is responsible for the development and execution of strategies, optimal deployment of capital and achievement of financial goals. Through insightful understanding of the business, rigorous review and in partnership with Business Leaders, the Sr. Director of Finance will ensure delivery of financial commitments and optimal deployment of capital. This role serves as a key business partner to North America leadership team and a key member of the NALT focuses on financial management, strategic and tactical issues.The incumbent also provides financial leadership and oversight, in collaboration with the VP Finance Global oncology, to the Global Commercial functions including management of the Global Alliances (currently with EMD Serono and Astellas) as well as supports the Business Development activities and other strategic projectsThe role is based in NYHQ and reports to the VP Finance Oncology and MDG, it has 4 direct reports.



*Responsibilities*

*North America1.Support Regional President in management of financial P&L and operational efficiency, and work to maximize revenue and IBT performance through rigorous management of the P&L and in alignment with goals.- Provide monthly and quarterly analysis and metrics to Finance and Executive Leadership to assess and report on the financial performance versus the operating plan, forecast, and prior periods.- Design and direct the preparation of insightful and actionable financial analyses, key messages and presentations which aid critical senior management decisions- Analyze key business trends and proactively identify and communicate issues, opportunities and/or threats and collaborate with management to resolve them.- Develop business case analyses to support major initiatives and investments.2.Own and manage the budgeting and forecast process for the North America region3.Member of the US Finance LT and participates in cross-disciplinary initiatives4.Ensure the integrity of financial information, ensure and enforce the policies and procedures of accounting principles and control in accordance to local and HQ Policy.5.Provides managerial leadership to direct reports and builds a highly capable finance team through the attraction, training and development of the necessary skilled professionals to meet business needs.*Global Oncology Business1.PFE representative in Joint Finance Committees for the Global Alliances as well as member of the Finance Joint Steering Committees2.Provide Finance leadership to the long-range forecasting process in collaboration with the WWCD (Commercial Development) teams as well as the Regional Finance teams3.Bring finance support and leadership to special Global Oncology projects such as Strategic Planning, Business Development assessments and activities, Integrations. 4.Lead impairment testing processes and analysis for marketed and developed assets in collaboration with divisional controller



*Qualifications*

*MBA or CPA with 15 years in finance roles with successful experience in budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis in a finance business partnering role*Experience in operating in complex and dynamic organizations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and the ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities.*Strong analytical skills with capacity to provide clear, concise and insightful analyses and updates on business issues and performance on a timely and regular basis.*Demonstrated ability to quickly identify problems and structure solutions. *Possess excellent presentation and communication skills with proven ability to work effectively with senior management and, in doing so, to successfully balance the role of being customer focused while maintaining objectivity.*Has strong leadership skills and will be highly successful in navigating organization dynamics and influencing/leveraging other groups in the company to produce positive results.*Ability to plan and prioritize work on multiple projects, while maintaining high quality and meeting or exceeding deadlines.*Strong business acumen and demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to interface effectively and build relationships with all levels of management and colleagues across diverse functional areas. *Ability to lead and/or make demonstrable contributions on complex multi-functional regional projects.*Experience in business development and / or managing partnerships and collaborations would be a plusNON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Travel as required to San Francisco / Chicago / Boston to meet with commercial teams and partners
