ADP is hiring a Senior Director of Finance- Strategy. This Senior Director, Finance Strategy will support portfolio wide strategic analytics with a keen focus on long term and "outside in" impact items. These analytics are a cross BU Product/Offering review of our revenues, profitability, and operating opportunities globally. The role includes leading finance support for the strategic planning process for overall ADP taking it from a hypothesis/analytics to a pragmatic review of initiatives. In this critical role, the Senior Director of Finance (supporting Strategy and Portfolio-wide analytics) will support the creation, implementation and review of ADP's Strategic Plan. The Senior Director will assist in the development and tracking of new investment cases across ADP. Working with multiple stakeholders outside of Finance, the Senior Director will lead the development of financial models to support investments both internally and in support of M&A transactions when required. This role will partner with senior leaders in the organization to support the financial and strategic business direction ensuring achievement of short and long term financial and business goals. Partnering with senior management, the Senior Director will facilitate the analytical strategy of the organization, foster insight generation, and understanding of key business dynamics including productivity analysis, margin improvement, pricing, and business analysis (such as client retention, loss reporting and quality metrics). Must posses and have successful experience to share in the following: Business Partnering: Partners with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to align on business priorities and drive effective solutions/execution. Constructively communicates compelling arguments based on facts and data, and obtains necessary buy-in to deliver on business objectives
* Partners with senior/general management in setting direction and managing key priorities such as client profitability and retention, competitive position, expense management, product enhancements and other business opportunities Acts as the Finance business partner to functional organizations such as Sales, Implementation and Marketing; supports Pricing analytics and decision-making as needed Business Analysis: Uses deep understanding of objectives, issues and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex problems
* Define decision support metrics driven analytics, create a view that allows ADP to think beyond "first line" analytics
* Move ADP to a higher level of sophistication and at the same time a practical application of productivity and Human Capital analytics. Review and improve current finance analytics creating links between each step of our planning process. Strategic Planning and Initiatives: Partners with business leadership to develop strategies and initiatives to drive growth and margin improvements. Executes on strategic initiatives and process improvement efforts. Details of the process include the following:
* Lead portfolio wide analytics long term decision making
* Create analytics that attach the strategic goals with the reality of ADP operations Provide thought leadership on the impact of strategic decisions Streamline and Integrate Strategic Plan Processes: Support the creation, implementation and leadership of a strategic plan process for all stakeholders that connects the short term forecast and operating plan with the longer term strategic, treasury, and investor plans:
* Metrics Driven analytics
* Outside in focus
* Goal and action oriented outputs Change Management, Project Planning, Communication are all elements of the decision support process and need to have focus as part of this role. Talent Development and Management: Deliberately builds capability for short and long term
* Sets direction, goals and expectations about performance, holds associates accountable for development and provides appropriate feedback
* Coaches and develops associates, builds diverse team and encourages innovative thinking to identify broad growth opportunities Qualifications:
* BS -- Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent
* 10+ Years of Finance and/or Strategy Experience including 5+ Years People Leadership (direct or indirect)
