The Deal Sourcing and Evaluation team, operating within the Pfizer Essential Health (PEH) Chief Business Office (CBO), is responsible for identifying ways to build on the PEH P&L. The group will develop and execute a business development and partnership strategy for PEH in line with PEH global strategic objectives. Execution of the plan will involve sourcing and prioritizing business development and strategic partnership opportunities and then leading the above-region commercial assessments and overall business case development cross-functionally to ensure:







+ Partner lines and functional leads are engaged effectively and at the right time



+ Appropriate governance path has been taken for each opportunity



+ Regions/business segments are providing the right level of rigor and consistency behind the story that is presented to leadership



+ Each project fits PEH strategic priorities and meets thresholds of appropriate growth or contribution to PEH



+ Local teams are developing capabilities for evaluating opportunities where needed







Key activities of the group include proactive opportunity identification, analysis of opportunities, partnership with the broader organization to evaluate the opportunities and gaining necessary executive approvals for recommended strategies.







Sr Director Global Deal Sourcing & Evaluation will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities. Drivers of success for this role are proactive idea generation, analytical rigor, and effective relationship building with key internal stakeholders and external partners.







Responsibilities:







+ Develop and execute the new business strategy at a global level, incorporating input from the regions, portfolio data, market analytics/external landscape, and senior leadership objectives.



+ Identify leads and ideas for partnerships and portfolio development through multiple internal and external channels



+ Communicate and drive alignment with regions, countries, and Business Development Transaction Teams on sourcing priorities based on an agreed global portfolio expansion strategy.



+ Collaborate with key functions and partner lines to clarify the process, level of rigor, and review cycles needed for governance and execution, in compliance with CP105 and any divisional requirements.



+ Collaborate with various internal teams & external partners to actively identify portfolio gaps (and close them) and opportunities (and build on them).



+ Align key stakeholders representing commercial, regions/markets, PGM, medical, regulatory, legal to facilitate accurate and timely assessment of opportunities.



+ Proactively identification of new business opportunities utilizing methodologies including but not limited to: opportunity scans, brainstorming sessions, alternative business models (collaborations, alternative funding models), the use of portfolio analytics, conference strategies, company and capabilities presentations, and reachout activity to build partnership network with other biopharma leaders or sourcing companies (consultants, bankers).



+ Domestic and international travel required (15%-25%).



+ This role is located in New York at the NYHQ.







Qualifications:







+ 10+ years plus experience in related field



+ MBA or other advanced degree required



+ Previous business development experience is required



+ Consulting and/or banking experience preferred



+ Experience across the pharmaceutical sector required, preferably global
