The Team 
Cisco’s Advanced Services is responsible for leading the development and execution of Cisco’s professional, managed, and subscription services portfolio across a global team of more than 13,000 employees in 70 different locations worldwide. Advanced Services plays a vital role in Cisco’s ability to deliver technology solutions that solve our customers most complex challenges across network, data center, cloud, collaboration, video, mobility, and security. This is a high growth area for the company and can help lead Cisco’s business transformation. In the past 12 months, under new leadership, the Advanced Services organization has gone through tremendous transformation and continues to do so with a heightened focus on talent.

As the lead HR Partner for Advanced Services, you will guide, create and execute Cisco’s HR and talent strategy. This role partners across the global HR organization and leads a team of 10. You will lead across the following areas:
  • Collaborate and execute on an Advanced Services talent strategy that aligns to the Services business strategy and integrates all relevant elements of the HR strategic framework and enterprise talent strategy.
  • Focus on operational excellence, best-in-class employee relations, talent management, people planning, leadership and organizational development aligning to Cisco’s People Strategy and People Deal.
  • Participate in M&A integration of AS acquisitions including key player and culture assimilation to ensure success
  • Design talent initiatives that accelerate integration between Services and other business functions, Sales and Engineering, to enhance leadership capabilities across the Cisco portfolio.
  • Evaluate and recommend rewards differentiation for key roles to retain in order to differentiate our top and most critical talent.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership on the developing role of HR, technology trends and relevant research while staying informed on external learning trends, best practices and broader learning strategies and represent Cisco HR in the external market and to customers..
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Partners and Centers of Excellence organizations to effectively plan, design, develop and implement our talent and people strategies.
  • Lead the HR Services team to deliver world class HR support. Coach and develop the HR consultants to bring innovative approaches and inspire “outside the box” thinking to meet the leaders’ objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant global HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
  • The ability to communicate succinctly with all levels of the organization including one on one coaching and meeting facilitation.
  • Experience driving large scale change and connecting HR strategy to business outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating with, and influencing stakeholders across a large scale matrixed corporate environment.
  • Prior experience in technology, software or enterprise consulting organizations
Successful candidates will have gained the following experiences: 
  • Team Leadership: building a strong team, assessing and developing capabilities, comfortable leading with both direct and indirect reports in a global, fast-paced and resource constrained context. 
  • Change Management: delivered results on a significant piece of change management ideally with a focus on people, leadership and culture in a complex and global context
  • Organizational Design and Effectiveness: experience managing HR in fast paced, transformational companies
  • Employee Relations: experience and understanding of current employment law practices globally
  • Experience managing a global HR budget 
  • Driving to Business outcomes: Working both strategically and operationally to get results including an experience of working at both ends of the spectrum and a passion to hold themselves and their teams accountable.
