As a senior member of the Tax Center of Excellence leadership team, the Senior Director, Tax Processing is responsible for the oversight of tax processing operations and driving timely deposits and filing to all tax jurisdictions. Direct responsibility in the delivery of effortless tax processing experiences for our clients and business partners. Drives and implements process excellence initiatives, compliance changes, productivity and tool improvements to improve the processing experience for clients and associates including the readiness for the migration to the next generation tax engine and client/agency expansion. Staffs the functional service department with highly effective and professional associates and takes action to engage associates in meeting individual and department goals. Responsible for the overall performance of functional organization.

-Direct leadership responsibility for the functional service department within Tax Center of Excellence for all market segments to meet Client Service objectives. Continuously reviews service performance (case volumes, quality metrics, productivity, client satisfaction scores, etc.) and processes. Identifies and appropriately addresses opportunities for improvement. Implements initiatives and processes to improve all aspects of service delivery. Provides feedback to all service partners.

-Sets and communicates strategic goals for functional service department. Develops and drives plans to reach these goals. Engages leadership in the communication of the service vision. Translates vision into meaningful associate messages and regularly communicates with associates to drive engagement.

-Creates a high performance team environment that supports/reinforces associate development and retention. Coaches and develops leaders to improve current performance and build bench strength for the future. Provides performance feedback and conducts annual performance reviews. Responsible for recruitment, selection, hiring, compensation management, and performance management of management team.

-Drive continuous improvement efforts for the organization utilizing the Lean Methodology and Six Sigma programs. Driving and implementing end to end process excellence initiatives.

-Drive/prioritize development (system design) for product and service enhancements

-Partners with all ADP Business Units to deliver the best possible overall client experience. Communicates process/functional changes to all impacted groups.

-Develop annual budget recommendations including headcount plan, productivity goals, and other expenses. Manages expenses to the established budget/plan.


  • Bachelor Degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Payroll/Tax experience preferred
  • 8 plus years experience of management experience.
