As an analyst on the PGIM HR Shared Services team, you will use data, research and analytical insights to support HR processes across seven lines of business in several countries. Responsibilities include working with internal partners and clients to execute initiatives, improve global data management processes and solve HR data related challenges creatively. Qualified candidates will be analytical, detail oriented and curious. The role requires exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong technical skills. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members to diagnose clients’ needs and find a way to satisfy them, using your strong data analysis skills.


The Sr. HR Reporting Analyst position, located in Newark, NJ is primarily responsible for the following:


  • Support compensation, talent, succession management and other HR data related processes and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, scorecards/dashboards, executive presentations and analyses on key HR metrics.
  • Identify innovative ways to leverage technology to build efficiencies in data collection, scrubbing and reporting.
  • See potential data connections, come up with new insights and generate creative solutions.
  • Take a proactive and consultative approach, asking the right questions to understand stakeholder needs and build reports and dashboards to meet those needs.
  • Develop an understanding of the business; highlight key data trends and issues and provide insights to HR leaders; help to define the metrics that allow PGIM to make better decisions.
  • Serve as a business analyst.  Gather, analyze, and document business requirements in support of HR initiatives.
  • Partner to ensure data integrity across all PGIM employee populations.
  • Contribute to team projects and provide coverage to teammates as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  Business, Computer Science, Statistics, I/O Psychology or related disciplines preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role; financial services and/or Human Resources desired.  Consulting experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and data analysis skills – critical thinker.
  • Strong consulting skills, ability to ask the right questions, understand the problem and collaborate to create a solution.
  • Experience managing, scrubbing and synthesizing data from multiple sources is required.
  • Required technical skills:
  • Advanced MS Excel (VBA, VLOOKUP, SUMIFs, Nesting, Pivot Tables, Charts)
  • Strong MS Access (VBA, application development, forms, reports, queries)
  • Intermediate SQL (outer joins, inner/sub-queries, unions/intersects) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data analytics/visualization tools Tableau, Visier and HR systems.
  • Experience with building storyboards/visual presentations using data is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to standardize, optimize, and simplify reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, balanced with the ability to see the big picture.
  • The ability to manage work in a high-volume, fast paced environment, juggle multiple priorities and work extended hours as needed with flexibility.
