**ROLE SUMMARY**







Sr. Manager, Anesthesia In -Market Portfolio is within Pfizer's US Sterile Injectable Business, which is part of Pfizer Essential Health (PEH).He/she will be an individual contributor who will seek to grow the Anesthesia Portfolio & Precedex Brand >$500M and meet the needs of customers and patients.. This individual will hold P&L accountability and will be expected to drive P&L performance in terms of sales and operating income to achieve financial as well as short and long term market share targets. This individual will also be responsible for the overall short and long term strategic/tactical plans. The Sr. Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership by setting the vision for the business, energizing cross-functional team members and aligning across functions to accomplish the vision.



This Individual will serve as the single point of accountability for the US business and as such is expected to set the strategic direction against which a broad range of cross-functional contributors will execute to maximize the value of the portfolio to Pfizer. The Sr. Manager is expected to communicate regularly with senior management regarding brand performance and strategic direction and to be able to have strong strategic agility to adjust plans as needed based on in market response and results.







Informed by a review of market dynamics and insights regarding drivers of performance, the Sr. Manager will lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies for the US business. The focus is on quickly building market share, prioritizing investments, executing on the operating plan, and being the lead for the brand to all cross functional partners, including various field forces.







This individual will be charged with leading the development and execution of the Anesthesia/ Precedex operating plan - including management of brand performance.



The Sr. Manager is the single point of accountability for the brand for field forces including providing strategic direction and ensuring selling materials are effective.



The Sr. Manager will maintain and nurture a positive and proactive interaction among the marketing team, other functional teams, and strategic partners (e.g. agencies, alliance organizations, customers as applicable) to ensure cooperation, shared responsibility in commercialization activities, and ultimately business performance.



The Sr. Manager will need to build/demonstrate/execute the following:



Strong FF relationships in order to continually find ways to sustain customer and field engagement - with motivation, focus and clarity.



Classical Branding and Marketing expertise, to leverage customer perceptions of differentiation and maintain brand loyalty in a highly competitive category.



Analytic and strategic thinking to lead evaluation and prioritization of investment options - including SI&A, and Field investment (which is shared with other products).



Strong ability to prioritize decision-making to effectively execute business plans and manage product performance



Proven performance and professionalism under pressure, managing rapid response scenarios, and serving as spokesperson for both internal and external audiences.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







**The Sr. Manager, Anesthesia In -Market Portfolio oversees an established portfolio of generic anesthetic products and the Precedex brand to grow revenues for Pfizer Injectables**







+ Act as the single point of accountability for the development and operationalization of the operating plan to deliver against revenue, IBT, and expense goals for the Anesthesia Portfolio



+ Achieve financial targets in terms of sales, operating income, etc. and ensure the annual expense budget is met and maintained within budget parameters and ensure that short and long term market share targets are met.



+ Work in close collaboration with finance, PGS and business analytics and insights to develop brand revenue forecasts, track brand performance and of key drivers. Key leader in developing, getting leadership alignment to, and protecting options for investment scenario plans as we learn/evolve over the launch period.



+ Ensure relevant brand, customer, and competitive insights are surfaced and appropriately integrated into brand plans



+ Prioritize execution of portfolio/brand strategies within the team, ensuring that developed strategies/tactics are implemented and drive the maximum value for the brands



+ Work with SIP leadership team to ensure that portfolio/brand strategy is aligned/contributing to portfolio level goals



+ Coordinate with National Accounts to drive brand value with organized customers (Alternate Site/ IDN)



+ Ensure a collaborative working environment with partner functions including, but not limited to medical, sales, finance, corporate communications, regulatory, legal, and manufacturing



+ Closely align with finance, business analytics, supply chain and production sites on budgets, latest estimates, forecasts, accruals , COGS, and customer demand



+ Act as lead commercial decision-maker in new product launch planning activities and flawlessly execute go-to-market strategies



+ Execute on promotional expense budget and partner with external agencies to create new marketing pieces that drive brand performance











**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ 5-7- years of marketing or other relevant experience



+ Experience with Hospital-based products required ( Alt. Site/ IDN/ Acute) required



+ Strong demonstrated Multi-Channel / Digital Marketing expertise required



+ Product forecasting/COGS/Pricing experience required



+ Previous history working with a direct field force in a marketing capacity required



+ Outstanding project management skills coupled with a self-directed approach to work.



+ Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority and to lead cross-matrix teams to drive decisions within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.



+ Product/Portfolio Valuation and business case development experience a plus



+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.



+ Ability to set and meet aggressive performance targets



+ Ability to work with virtual team ( key partners may be located in NYC)



+ Demonstrated high level change agility, able to act nimbly and redirect efforts based upon real time in-market learnings



+ Demonstrated strong strategic/analytic skills in order to help set brand strategy & priorities



+ Strong communication skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders, engage senior leadership



+ Demonstrated creativity, coupled with ability to navigate the internal organization/processes



+ Maturity, Confidence, Enthusiasm, self-motivation, confidence and high energy are essential



+ Service-oriented, responsive, collegial and committed to excellence, high ethical standards and integrity



+ Undergraduate degree in science or business area; MBA strongly preferred
