Description:

The Sr Manager of Consumer Insights will act as a strategic partner to GNG (Global Nutrition Group) marketing/insights in identifying foundational learning to drive the growth of the GNG's Dairy & Plant Nutrition portfolio. Helping invent the global Dairy/Plant Nutrition agenda to address rapidly changing consumer demand in this segment of the nutrition industry. Accountability for driving insights to guide both our global corridor strategy as well as the brand's growth innovation agenda. Be a \"decision change agent\", adept at delivering clear, actionable & strategic insights and advocating successfully for their implementation. The Sr Mgr of Insights will serve as a partner during the strategy planning process by supporting the consumer understanding agenda at a global level and emerging marketplace and form actionable, insights-based recommendations to guide critical business direction. Demonstrate the ability to set and drive the agenda to become a trusted advisor and thought partner to the GNG Marketing team and Marketing /Insights partners. They need to collaborate beyond boundaries and work cross-functionally to contribute to the development of portfolio growth strategies. Requires experience in consumer insights and in fundamental Insight /research methodologies, tools and techniques with a strong understanding of the proper implementation, application and interpretation of such techniques. Experience in assessing global macro trends as well as nutrition trends to apply appropriately to business and strategy solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the Dairy growth agenda and consistent positioning across the globe through continued Insight that resonates globally and translates into successful global advertising and innovation.
  • Support category innovation and business development opportunities to help Dairy expand and helping to identify global innovation efforts with U.S. potential.
  • Provide necessary Insight support for lift and adapt innovation to accelerate growth with common consumers and markets trends and support unique breakthrough innovation in key markets to support targeted consumer and / or market needs
  • Build strong, two-way relationships with insight partners in each region/market, ensuring a truly collaborative approach to developing insights and driving agenda through foundational insights, analytics & tracking.
  • Partner closely with marketing and R&D partners to ensure the integration of learnings into ongoing planning.
  • Integrate the learning across projects and multiple sources to deliver strategic thought partnership and actionable recommendations to influence business decisions.
  • Support the Dairy BU trends process.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-8 yrs in a strategic insights/analytics role, with a very strong background in innovation
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree a plus
  • Proven collaboration abilities, strategic thinking and leadership skills. Worked in a cross-functional, matrixed organization to champion and drive a consumer-driven agenda

Main interactions within & outside organization:

  • Works in partnership with the global marketing team on a daily basis in the development of strategies and tactics to be deployed globally to drive growth
  • Works with cross-functional partners, R&D on a regular basis, in the development of innovation project. Work together with global insights counterparts and their marketing partners to address specific business issues through research efforts and to gain alignment in support of global brand efforts.
  • Research vendors to ensure efforts address business needs and are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
