Position Description:

Position Purpose

The Sr. Manager, Customer Program Marketing will own the customer lifecycle and lead personalized marketing at scale for the customer program. The role will develop best-in-class marketing strategies and plans that leverage key customer insights, while tapping into emerging market and marketing trends that increase engagement and support critical business metrics. The Sr. Manager, Customer Program Marketing will be responsible for communications through all channels including email, store signage, program website, mobile experience, social, SMS and others, and will champion the program brand to ensure consistent usage and treatment across all communications. The role will manage an external agency who will assist with communications execution and strategy, but the Sr. Manager will also develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • 35% - Design and execute marketing strategies to drive program performance and support critical business metrics.
  • 30% - Direct and manage marketing execution through both oversight of an external agency and internal cross-functional partnerships.
  • 20% - Participate in the design of the customer brand and ensure alignment with the overall company and Pro brands. Act as the customer brand steward and represent the brand across all channels.
  • 15% - Identify and invent new and innovative customer marketing strategies and approaches, and adapt them for execution to drive out membership base.

Nature and Scope

  • This position report to Senior Director, Customer & Analytics.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Environment:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

  • Typically requires overnight travel 0 - 10% of the time


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
8 years

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (such as a Masters Business Administration or a Masters) a plus
  • Experience with Customer Marketing strongly preferred

  • Strategic and marketing thought-leadership and ability to identify business opportunities
  • Experience developing large-scale marketing strategies with multiple components
  • Exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and the drive to push the boundaries of traditional thinking
  • Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and the organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and deliver against tight timelines
  • Strong conviction of opinion and confidence in knowledge; able to hold a seat at the table with business partners
  • Strong executive communications, both written and verbal
  • Customer-centric and customer needs-based marketing approach
