Job Details


Lead key financial processes (forecasts, operating plan, monthly financial reporting), and preparing the consolidated commercial financial forecasts, operating and strategic plans (annual and long range) and monthly ELT reporting packages for the Commercial organization in coordination with the VP and SVP Commercial Finance. Acts as primary Commercial Finance interface with BU Finance FP&A Directors, BT - Finance, OP&A, Investor Relations and Controllers organizations.


**Global Commercial Finance Financial Planning Process Lead**

+ Lead the overall financial planning processes (Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Exception Based Forecasts) for the Global Commercial Finance Organization across 120 markets, including defining submission financial and analytic requirements, developing detailed planning calendars, partnering with Business Unit Finance Teams and Operations, Planning & Analysis (OP&A) group to ensure alignment on deliverables and timing, act as Commercial Finance partner with Business Technology on any necessary system modifications.

+ Provide strategic financial analysis and insights into Commercial Annual and Long Term financial plans and quarterly Forecasts.

+ Manages target setting process for Commercial Business Units, in partnership with OP&A, VP Commercial Finance and BU Finance leads

+ Primary interface with Business Technology on identifying and planning for systems updates and modifications in support of Business Unit operations. Lead overall change request process on behalf of Business Units

+ Lead continuous improvement opportunities related to the planning process across Commercial Finance. Partner with Business Technology, PGS Finance, R&D Finance, OP&A and other functions on cross-functional improvement opportunities

**Finance Analytics and Insights**

+ Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Commercial financial data in financial systems (HFM and Mosaic). Partners with Controllers, GFSS and Business Unit Finance leaders to ensure accurate, auditable monthly and quarterly BU financials

+ Reviews and analyzes monthly BU global results, assists with the commentary / associated analyses and presentations to senior management, including VP & SVP Commercial Finance, and CFO / CEO reviews. Develops and delivers frequent presentations and analytics to VP and SVP Commercial Finance on Business performance

+ Provides monthly consolidated financial reports and analysis directly to ELT and Commercial Finance Leadership team

+ Provide ad-hoc analyses at direction of SVP and VP Commercial Finance

+ Support Commercial financial activities related to Board Reports, Earnings Releases and SEC Filings (Form 10-Q and 10-K)

+ Liaises with the Decision Support CoE on reporting deliverables and timelines and provides strategic guidance to the CoE on continuous improvement initiatives.

**Commercial Non-BU Budget**

+ Responsible for budgeting, monitoring and forecasting expenses for the Commercial headquarters-based non-BU cost centers

**Cross BU Finance Projects**

+ Play finance leadership role on cross-BU strategic and financial analyses, including continuous improvement projects, acquisition / restructuring, Business Unit Reorganization, etc.

+ Partner with BU Finance leads to support AR / DSO financial analyses and reporting. Provide timely and accurate analytical support for accounts receivables and support corporate strategic goal of improving DSO

+ Partner with Controllers organization to perform detailed year end impairment process, and light touch quarterly updates. Accountable for maintaining and updating first level financial model to support intangible impairment analysis


+ Minimum 5 - 10 years of related finance and management experience

+ Advanced business degree (i.e. MBA) and/or accounting designation (i.e. CPA).

+ Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze and assimilate data for critical business decisions in timely manner. Proven ability to address root cause of issues; gathers information systematically; understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts; builds data supported models to propose pragmatic solutions

+ Understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceuticals' industry, market and competitive landscape

+ Strategic thinker with strong financial and business analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives

+ Excellent influencing and relationship management skills. Ability to influence without authority; Willingness to challenge status quo and ability to influence others to align behind agreed upon plans and timelines

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize information into clear, concise and insightful updates for senior leaders.

+ Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and relationships. Prioritizes well and meets commitments; Adapts to change and manages risk well. Proven project management skills, breaks down work into understandable segments; coordinates activities to ensure timely completion; delivers complete work products
