Manages the relationship with GPS, IPL and Walmart Markets for the Joint Sourcing initiatives by aligning the markets sourcing strategies with Global Produce Sourcing, International Procurement and Logistics and Retail Markets to meet merchantB4s financials and operating plans; informing merchants and Customer Facing Teams of changes to crop conditions that will affect cost of goods and availability; leading weekly calls for the Joint Sourcing Initiative with GPS, IPL and participating Markets; coordinating Joint Sourcing commodities transitions across markets in alignment with GPS/IPL and Markets; and collaborating with cross functional teams (for example, Planning, Replenishment, Global Logistics, Quality) to execute the Joint Sourcing plans. Develops Joint Sourcing Strategy aligned with GPS, IPL and Markets by collaborating with GPS/IPL to recommend country of origin sourcing based on cost, quality, service and other markets/origins conditions; aligning with GPS/IPL Sourcing Team and process to obtain leverage opportunities for participating Markets; partnering with Quality teams to guarantee market standards and specification optimization; partnering with cross functional teams to materialize leverage opportunities; and aligning with GPS/IPL on negotiation process with suppliers. Manages supplier base for Joint Sourcing Plans aligned with GPS and IPL by partnering with GPS and IPL to identify, develop and maintain grower relationships that meet company financial, ethical, and sustainability standards; administering supplier base and sourcing process for markets not supported by GPS/IPL; developing joint sourcing initiative KPIs for each market; conducting quarterly performance reviews with all vendors and markets; and managing and resolving joint sourcing execution issues. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
