Description The Corporate Functions Business Technology (CFBT) Sr. Manager of HRBT Solution Delivery has responsibility for the design, build and support of systems across the HRBT portfolio. The position involves working closely with business partners within HRBT as well as partnering across other departments within the larger Business Technology organization, to deliver on business commitments. The Sr. Manager of HRBT Solution Delivery will also be expected to be able to lead a team of vendor consultants and/or colleagues across different geographies within Pfizer to deliver high quality, performant and scalable solutions. They will have the technical depth and experience needed to understand and architect systems and resolve technical challenges.


+ Responsible for development and delivery of new HR solutions

+ Application planning, design, and engineering efforts ensuring alignment with CF BT and overall BT strategy.

+ Lead system issue resolutions independently or with a team.

+ Effectively collaborate with CFBT client partners to achieve business goals and objectives

+ Deliver solutions on-time, on-budget and with the scope committed to the business.

+ Clearly articulate CFBT Solution Center and BT processes and standards to CFBT client partners

+ Portfolio governance support (i.e., adherence to IT roadmap and standards).

+ Learn and Implement new technologies as required working across BT to develop reusable patterns for Pfizer.

+ Manages and coordinates development of appropriate SLC deliverables to support architecture design.

+ Ensures knowledge transfer from project team to long term support team occurs

+ The successful candidate will have a minimum 5+ years experience as a Solutions developer, Architect and project manager, to support implementation of large custom software solutions

Technical Skills:

+ Deep exposure and practical experience (5+ years) developing custom applications, including application architecture, design and development

+ Strong knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft and Oracle application platforms

+ Previous experience designing and developing high traffic, scalable, enterprise level applications

+ Broad and deep knowledge of common enterprise systems

+ Ability to turn business and functional requirements into system design specifications

+ Ability to lead complex issue resolution in a matrixed environment

+ Experience leading design and implementation of application solutions

+ Experience with Workday technology is preferred

+ Deep understanding of detailed application developer capabilities required to build effective teams with balanced technical skill-sets

+ Understands future customer, industry and information technology trends. Applies this understanding to develop robust solutions and to identify opportunities for future business and leads selection of methodologies, tools and components of total IT solutions

+ Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment across business functions to influence a desired outcome

+ Demonstrated leadership skills in delivering results within project timelines

+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization is essential

+ Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic, problem-solving environment


+ Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering preferred

+ MS in computer science or information management or MBA preferred
