**ROLE SUMMARY**



The Senior Manager reports to the Director, US and Global Prevnar/Prevenar 13 Communications within the Corporate Affairs function at Pfizer. The Senior Manager will help to support the strategic priorities for the US Prevnar 13 adult and pediatric franchise, oversee several communications programs and platforms; as well provide strategic counsel to members of the Vaccines BU. He/She will be a strong strategic communications leader that will work across key functions within the US Vaccines commercial business, Medical, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs to help drive the strategic priorities for the US Prevnar 13 adult and pediatric franchise. He/she will also work closely with commercial and marketing colleagues to develop and implement key disease/vaccination awareness and branded PR initiatives .He/she will help develop and implement above-brand programs that help to advance Pfizer Vaccines' reputation.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Develops several internal and external Vaccines PR and Communication plans



+ Develops and implements key comprehensive Communications and PR programs and initiatives, including several celebrity campaigns, sponsorships and satellite media tours.



+ Lead the development of core communications materials such as press releases, Q&A, statements, fact sheets and other written material



+ Lead product review committee process to ensure communications strategy and materials are compliant



+ Oversees the day-to-day work of external agencies as it relates to the development of key PR programs and initiatives



+ As a member of Rapid Response Teams and in coordination with the regions, develops materials to support issues management



+ In conjunction with Media Relations, coordinates the roll-out of asset information and materials across Pfizer enterprise



+ Support the development and implementation of external communications strategy for high priority external meetings, including the CDC's Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices Meetings



+ Develop the communications strategy for National Infant Immunization Week and National Immunization Awareness month, which includes project and agency management and collaboration with key external partners



+ Partner with the team in developing internal and leader communications



+ Key contributor to Pfizer's digital and social media platforms







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Seasoned communications professional with a minimum of seven years in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in global product communications, media relations or public relations preferable.



+ Bachelor's degree in communications or related field required. Experience in Marketing and/or PR a plus.



+ Experience in developing, managing and implementing communications and public relations plans.



+ Demonstrated track record of project management, organizational skills and attention to detail.



+ Excellent written, oral, communication skills and interpersonal skills.



+ Ability to develop, implement and measure success of PR and communications plans.



+ Ability to work effectively across functions and levels across highly matrixed organization and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines.



+ Self-starter, able to work independently as well as with teams.
