The Sr. Mgr, Pricing Analytics is responsible for leading Pricings analytical research, development, and operations organization. The incumbent will play a key role in providing thought leadership to oversee the development of insightful and scalable pricing insights, ensuring analytic capabilities are defined with proper methodological rigor and architected to be available in a robust, scalable, and sustainable fashion.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
30% - Coordinate with stakeholders to conceptualize, develop and implement consistent, robust and sustainable pricing and business intelligence capabilities including self-serve analytics for the pricing and merchant teams
30% - Lead the development and enhancement of analytics to drive improved data-driven insights, discovery, pricing modeling and predictive analytics
20% - Coach and continuously develop technical, BI, and pricing science talent within the team
10% - Collaborate with partners to define the strategy and development plan for pricing, business intelligence, and competitive intelligence capabilities
10% - Prioritize multiple requests from executive and cross-functional partners for both ad-hoc and repeatable support
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to Director Pricing Strategy.
This position has 3-5 direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 8 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Advanced degree preferred in business administration, data science, operations research, or similar field
Pricing Analytics experience in a retail setting
Deep understanding of big data tools such as Hadoop, Bigquery, and Mongo, of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Shiny, and statistical analysis tools such as R and SAS.
