Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior Manager of Print Creative will be responsible for driving the creative concept and execution of our national/regional Newsprint, Catalog and Magazine advertising initiatives. This person and his/her team will be responsible for the management of both the creative and production of print collateral to support The Home Depot s marketing and merchandising key strategies. They will need to have a deep understanding of design and production best practices across newspaper, catalog and Magazine. They will also consult on digital extensions and partner on multichannel campaigns. This person will drive design integrity, uphold brand standards and drive advertising effectiveness and performance to meet key Kpis. This person will drive design, including messaging, photography and layout to meet varied business strategies ensuring accuracy and on time delivery of content. Success will be defined by achieving goals around, budget management, production timelines, accuracy, relevancy and simplicity of communications. The position requires the ability to work across cross functional teams in Marketing, Merchandising, Consumer insights and Content creation. Responsibilities also include, mentoring, development and retention of key talent. This person will also be responsible for optimizing the programs through testing and monitoring of success metrics, managing the internal teams and agency partners.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

40% - Art direction- Provide daily creative leadership for design teams that drive the execution of print, catalog and magazine plans. Review creative for brand standards, accuracy and ad effectiveness. Elevate the quality of design, clearly portraying THD goods and services in best possible to light to our customers
25% - Production management- Provide oversight and manage the production aspect of print executions i.e. schedules, adherence, versioning, tracking to deliverables, proofing, file release and print quality
10% -Budget management- oversee daily operational budgets, print, paper, logistics, freelance and agency SOWs and expenses, driving optimization and cost out
15% - Strategy- work cross functionally with key partners to understand business goals, gather inputs required to tell effective stories to optimize creative and drive alignment.
10% - Integration- work with cross channel creative leads to drive interconnected and consistent retail and brand experiences, digital extensions of print into relevant channels.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to Sr Director Creative/Brand.
This position has 2+ direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
10 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working knowledge (or proficient) with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator a must)
Pre-press Publishing Technology, Web Offset and Digital print knowledge

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Proven track record of creating effective sales enablement and branded print, digital or related graphic design campaigns
Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment
Self-Directed, detailed oriented and highly organized
Proficient in Adobe, MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
