Product Operations is the organization that enables and accelerates innovation to create an unrivaled customer experience & competitive advantage for Cisco through end to end Operations leadership and Product Lifecycle Management.


What You'll Do

You will be part of China Product Operations for data center group, who plays a critical role in ensuring speedy new product introduction and high product quality for volume production. Ideal Candidate will take following responsibility:

·       Act as a technical coordinator both within and across the NPI team. Work with the engineering design team in order to assure that the product development meets the manufacturing requirements with the goal of releasing zero design defects to production.

·       Lead the manufacturing effort to define and drive design for manufacturing and test (DFM and DFT) with the goal of reducing the assembly and test time, and increasing the overall product quality.

·       Work with CM/ODM/LDM suppliers to assure their product met Cisco requirements in terms of technology, testability and DFM rules.

·       Work in conformance to established manufacturing processes and procedures. Ability to establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies.

·       Provide technical guidance to manufacturing value engineering team on hardware cost redesign and bug fixes. Drives avoidance and reduction in product costs of goods through the ongoing investigation and qualification of lower cost parts and more effective processes.

·       Manage the product production transfer to manufacturers and ensures that they receive the required level of product training.

·       Provide support to existing products by working with BU, QE, PLM and the Manufacturing Engineers to address quality issue that are impacting Cisco customers.

·       Manage technical changes to existing products.

·       Actively participate in the Defect Reduction Teams by working to identify and drive to resolution product issues.

Who You Are

·       Ability to work on complex issues that require both technical knowledge, program management and decision-making skills.

·       Self-learning and self-driven to complete assignments.

·       Fluent knowledge of English to conduct meeting/presentations.

·       B.S. or M.S. degree in electronics, telecommunication or equivalent trainings.

·       8+ years related experience.

·       Understanding of system hardware architectures, design concepts and engineering development practices. Using various diagnostic tools, debug and trouble-shoot failing system at board level. Experience in resting, debugging and bring-up proto boards.

·       Experiences with Allegro, Valor and other manufacturing tools used in the job.

·       Good understanding of PCB fabrication process and technology, good understanding of the end-to-end process for board assembly.

·       Understanding of end-to-end product development process.

·       Candidate with HW design (Electrical), and SW experiences highly desirable.
