Description

COMET: Cox Media Technology - is looking to hire a Publisher Development Manager based in the San Francisco or New York office to expand COMET’s publisher footprint.


Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of our offering, as well as market conditions.  This is a client-facing position that requires strong organization skills, creative thinking, professionalism and ability to close Tier 1 Publisher partners. You will be responsible for cultivating deep relationships and grow market share.  You will be responsible for expanding COMET’s publisher footprint and drive revenue growth for our exchange. 

  • Identify, build relationships with and sign premium publishers across 3 channels: display, mobile & video
  • Contribute to COMET’s publisher development strategy
  • Update the CRM system (Insightly) and manage the pipeline
  • Develop a deep knowledge of your publisher clients and their business objectives. 
  • Develop & continue to grow COMET’s presence


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ideal candidate will have worked at an ad-tech company, exchange, SSP and/or DSP. 
  • Active listener with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal in front of large audiences
  • Aggressive go-getter who is willing and able to take full ownership of customer needs/requirements
  • Negotiate renewal contracts when appropriate
  • Ability to learn, take charge and deliver results and exceed sales targets
  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment & extremely proactive towards taking action.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot table usage) & PowerPoint
  • Capable in working independently & capacity to work with all teams, including sales, marketing, product & engineering
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%) to client sites, conferences and/or outer offices.
