**Job Purpose**

The regional Senior Brand Manager is an above country role and will be responsible to lead and represent his/her Portfolio across the business, steering the development and implementation of best-in-class brand management practices and programs. The SBM will lead the development of and monitor strategies for assigned Oncology brands, through cross-functional teams, ensure that these plans are successfully developed and implemented to achieve short and long-term objectives across the Region. The individual will play a critical "champion" role. He/she must establish credibility with key stakeholders within global functions, the Oncology BU and the region he/she supports. The individual must have strong team leadership skills and be willing to actively partner with other functions to drive meaningful business results.

**Key Accountabilities:**

**Brand management and strategy development**

+ Lead , a cross-functional cross-market team in the development of brand strategies across the region

+ Lead the development and delivery of the Regional Product Platform, Regional Brand Plan and core campaign materials for brands

+ Provide business and brand management leadership to in-market marketing teams, proactively identifying insights and ensuring prioritization of support in alignment with business and portfolio needs

+ Set and monitor specific brand objectives and performance indicators (including the budget), to drive performance across the region

+ Joint management of P/L responsibility for brand within their region.

+ Ensuring new launches' readiness with clear KPIs and dashboards frequently updated

**Alignment across countries/functions**

+ Be the 'voice' of the brand, representing the region and the portfolio within the Global working groups, sharing insights and ensuring regional and country needs are appropriated, considered and represented in regional strategies and plans.

+ Align key stakeholders - Cluster leads , medical, country CBLs, sales , country and regional management, country functional colleagues - to business objectives, strategies and tactics for the Region

+ Lead efforts across markets to understand and address regional opportunities and challenges for the brand

+ Establish strong partnerships with countries in the effective development and execution of campaigns and programs

+ Establish effective peer relationships and strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with other regional teams

+ Collaborate with other SBMs & CBLs to align processes across brands and regions

+ Identify Country best practices and leverage them for the region.

**Building organizational capability**

+ Build trust among team members and broader stakeholders by setting a highly visible example for colleagues within the Region's Team and countries in terms of professional excellence and commitment to demonstrating leader behaviors and values

+ Create and maintain a team culture that values, recognizes and generates high performance, supports innovation and challenges the status quo

+ Provide clear role responsibility, establishing a climate of continuous measurement and performance improvement

+ Create processes to share information and experiences, leverage initiatives across countries where appropriate, and enhance productivity of marketing efforts for the brand

+ Support and foster knowledge management between/across portfolio teams

**Job Specific Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:**

+ Demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results

+ Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations

+ Demonstrated track record of ability to influence others without authority

+ Ability to analyze, define and convey complex concepts and strategies in verbal and written communication to very demanding internal and external audiences

+ Proven ability to perform effectively in a complex, changing environment, and the professional maturity to deal with ambiguity

+ Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

+ Well-organized with the ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and effectively perform in a matrix organization. Ability to deliver multiple projects to agreed deadlines. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional/cross-cultural teams.

+ Demonstrated track record in specific fields of brand management expertise, e.g., creation of strategic and operating plans, implementation of KOL programs

+ Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., new competition, shifting market environment) and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision for a brand

+ Well-developed project management skills. **Experience and Knowledge:**

+ University degree in Science, Health Sciences or Business; Master's degree preferred

+ Preferably 5-7 years of marketing experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or related field

+ Experience in leading direct or matrix teams

+ Oncology experience preferred

+ P&L management experience a plus

+ Fluency in English required, bilingual preferred

+ Position involves significant international travel

**Dimensions: Budget Responsibility / Geographic scope:**

+ Budget responsibility - Assigned brands as defined by the Regional Marketing Lead

+ Scope: Africa and Middle East (AfME)
