*Role Description*

We seek a creative and highly self-motivated biologist with experience in protein engineering. This role is to develop and enhance existing oncology biotherapeutic target discovery through the development of tumor targeted and conditionally activated biotherapeutics. These will include the design of immunomodulatory biotherapeutics by combining antibody development with rational synthetic biological design.

*Responsibilities*

A successful candidate will work independently and as part of a research team that is focused on the identification and validation of novel biotherapeutic targets, should have a deep understanding of protein and antibody engineering with a focus on biotherapeutic engineering, and an interest in the development of tumor targeted and conditionally regulated biotherapeutics for solid tumors.Specific responsibilities include:The candidate will utilize expertise in rational protein and cancer immunomodulatory designs to produce, characterize, execute, and analyze/interpret experiments to uncover cancer biology that can be exploited through biotherapeutics approaches aimed at maximizing patient response. This will include executing molecular and cell based assays across various technology platforms to assess biotherapeutic performance using ELISA, FACS, immunofluorescence, and other multi-parametric platforms.Potential candidate should demonstrate a high level of initiative in leading project work-stream to a completion. This includes troubleshooting experiments, performing data analysis, ensuring collaborative team engagement, being highly organized and maintaining accurate lab notebooks, and setting and achieving milestones, goals and timelines. Strong commitment to collaboration with other members of the Oncology R&D Unit and supporting partner lines as part of a project team will be essential to success.
