What You'll Do
As a Senior Silicon Photonics Wafer Fabrication Product Engineer, you'll be part of Cisco's cross-functional Silicon Photonics team that will be poised to lead the 100G-market transition and is well positioned to drive future growth through innovation for Next Generation of product-lines. Through empowerment, you will play a critical role in a fast-paced work environment to disrupt and influence the innovation of next generation Silicon Photonics wafer fabrication. Responsibilities include the following:
• Responsible for taking Silicon Photonics wafer fabrication product from NPI to HVM release with foundry partner.
• Work in collaboration with Engineering and Technology & Quality teams to maintain front-end silicon photonics and MEMS processes align with product specification.
• Responsible for managing change control, statistical process control, yield improvement and production ramp
• Work in collaboration with Technology & Quality team to support new foundry supplier engagements and introduction of new fabrication product technology.
• Drive the development and documentation of design rules for manufacturing.
• Work in collaboration with Design Team & Test Engineering to stabilize and improve wafer-level optical and electrical testing.
• Responsible for reviewing and monitoring wafer-level optical and electrical testing to proactively drive resolution to critical yield issue.

Product Operations is the organization that enables and accelerates innovation to create an unrivaled customer experience & competitive advantage for Cisco through end-to-end Operations leadership and Product Lifecycle Management. In this role, you will be a key Product Operations team member specifically supporting the Transceiver Module Group

You will be a member of the product engineering team that partners with a cross-functional team of engineers (Design, Technology & Quality, Test, and Foundry) to develop, qualify, and release Silicon Photonics Wafer Fabrication product to manufacturing.

At minimum, we require:
• MS/PhD (preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or material science or equivalent educational background
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor/MEMS wafer fabrication process development and integration
• Proven track record of transitioning products from NPI to High volume production at foundry partners
• Strong knowledge of various semiconductor/MEMS process equipment
• Experience with complex data analysis using JMP, Galaxy, dataPower, or other semiconductor statistical tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly and concisely summarize engineering findings to a management audience

Desired Skills:
• Solid understanding of manufacturing process, related to semiconductor and silicon photonics manufacturing.
• Experience with CMOS/MEMS processing including wafer bonding
• Knowledge of Opto-electronics and semiconductor device physic
