We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Systems Specialist to join a team that will develop and define and design solutions for Prudential's Mutual Funds IT projects. As a senior system specialist, you will focus on delivering best in class solutions, understand how to integrate disjointed systems, leverage diverse technologies, and be ready to adapt changing design frameworks. This role combines strong technical expertise in multiple technology areas and ability to quickly learn core business functions. The associate will participate as technical expert in design and development of business applications and support the teams throughout the software development life cycle. It will also require the individual to understand the internal as well as external services integration and data footprint. Software Developer, who has passion for new technologies, understands end to end web development technology stack, responsive web design, Service oriented architecture(SOA). We are looking for someone who is outcome focused, loves challenges and can work collaboratively.


  • Designs and develops effective application solutions which can include new or modified technologies, reuse of existing services, integration with other Prudential applications or purchased solutions, or a combination of the available alternatives
  • Provides accurate and substantiated design effort estimates for assigned projects 
  • Define and implement proof-of-concepts for proving new technologies, frameworks, and architecture patterns.
  • Has detailed knowledge of the technology stack that supports Prudential's Mutual Funds platforms. 
  • Review internal team and vendor partner deliverables for accuracy and quality 
  • Provide technical guidance and be a technical mentor to the offshore and onshore teams
  • Employ industry best practices to deliver world-class solutions. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable Prudential standards
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential
  • Enable change, help accelerate innovation and ensure customer delight 
  • Responsible for consistent on-time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans
  • Works with cross-functional teams of business and technology stakeholders to fully comprehend documented business requirements and identifies application solutions to meet the business needs that are consistent with the defined architectural technology stack.
  • Strong competency in developing all SDLC design phase artifacts
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and fellow technologists to design, develop and deliver robust solutions to business

  • Proven experience in gathering and transforming customer/business needs into an actionable product roadmap, and product roadmaps into product requirements
  • Understanding of customer transactions and communication, operational work flows, internet technologies, as well as development methodology for a complex multi-business environment
  • Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience in handling sensitive customer escalations
  • Experience using agile methodologies to deliver products and technologies is a huge plus
  • Experience in financial services companies a huge plus
  • 5-7 years hands on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C# and ASP.NET. Experience with Java, J2EE and WebSphere a plus.
  • Strong web development skills including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular JS, JSON, Javascript (jQuery),  and XML/XSL. 
  • Strong database design and development skills using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in developing n-tier applications for internal and external audiences.
  • Working knowledge of software development and implementation on mobile devices (iOS and Android).
