What You’ll Do
Identify, shape and bridge national level cyber security initiatives, including the development of market disrupting customer pilots, to differentiate Cisco as the #1 trusted IT company. With highly visible data breaches and service disruptions having left companies and governments exposed, the Security and Trust Organization (STO) has invested in differentiating Cisco through cyber security partnerships to help Government's accelerate their national security and economic agendas, including digital disruption. As we work towards delivering this value, we will focus on national engagements that lead our customers to reflect the value in their purchasing and partnership decisions, and in turn create differentiation for Cisco.

Who You'll Work With

Are you a leader who wants to shape and drive national level cyber security strategy & initiatives? A fast learner and collaborator who can work across organizational boundaries, both internal and external - from Prime Ministerial advisors through to senior sales leaders? As country leader for the Trust Strategy team, you will play a vital role in driving customer trust in Cisco through the engagement and alignment of Government, Business, Education and Research leaders by implementing a national engagement model. As a newly funded effort, you will have the opportunity to help shape our long-term direction and impact, and set the foundations for Cisco's digital and cyber security agendas.

Who You Are
In this highly visible role as the cyber security national engagement model lead, you will:
● Position yourself, through your actions and collaborations, as a trusted advisor to Government, Business, Research and Education stakeholders.
● Shape the National cyber security policy agenda, identifying key initiatives and actions that allow the Government to pursue their national security and economic objectives, while maximizing market access for Cisco.
● In partnership with wider Cisco sales and security leaders:
● identify cyber security education, training, and research initiatives that uplift national cyber security maturity, while enhancing Cisco's local relevance in areas such as threat intelligence and solution development.
● and in conjunction with marketing/ and public relations, identify and drive events, white papers, media and collaborations that uplift Cisco's profile and relevance.
● identify market and customer pilots that disrupt traditional buying practices, to create expanded market opportunities for Cisco.

● Experienced leader within Government, Defense or Industry who has delivered on national-level strategic projects and objectives.
● Hold appropriate security clearances.
● Hands-on field experience, working directly with customers on evolving business models and the application of people, process & technology.

Highly Desirable:
● Technical background / education.
● 10 to 15 years work experience, including government/defence roles and industry experience.
● 3+ years work experience in cyber security initiatives and programs.

● Understanding of Cisco, how it operates, and how to influence.
● Cross-functional collaboration and exercising influence without direct authority.
● Ability to engage multiple levels of stakeholders, from Prime Ministerial advisors, Boards and CxO's, research and education leaders, through to operational and technical staff
● Strong listening skill and ability to drive and lead initiatives, and/or participate as a team member.
● Ability to manage own time and deliverables, but also open to incorporating constructive feedback.
● Strong analytical skills and ability to thrive in complexity
● Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
● Fast learner, able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
● Knowledge of cyber security threats and trends (highly desirable)
