The Business Entity

 

The Core Software Group (CSG) has the charter for all Platform Independent and Platform Dependent software development across Switching (for data center, campus core and campus access), wireless, network services, routing, optical software and Enterprise routing and cable access. CSG is creating unprecedented customer value by providing cohesive and innovative software, platforms and solutions for Cisco's core networking customers.

 

Who You'll Work With


You will work directly with senior executives, architects and a cohesive group of high performing - platform, big data and analytics engineers. You will engage with multiple teams across the Engineering, IT and Support orgs at senior levels on an ongoing basis.

   

What You'll Do

*       You will be responsible to drive key programs that span multiple networking technology capabilities and enable easy, reliable and scalable consumption of those capabilities across different channels.

*       You will translate strategic inputs into executable plans, identify and influence stakeholders, define delivery models and business case, drive on-ground execution and communicate progress to executive levels.

*       You will be hands-on in defining solutions,  writing use cases, epics and user stories.

*       You will define engineering plan, scrum plans and drive execution of those plans

*       You will research on trending and potential future solutions and technologies, and bring them in to advance the DNA Platform

*       You will Solve some of our business’ most critical and visible technical challenges

   

Who You Are

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a “take-charge” / “can-do” attitude and is able to demonstrate flexibility and resiliency.  Work with geographically distributed teams across different time zones.  As a key engineering leader, tag along core group of engineers, senior leadership, product management and customers to deliver cutting edge systems and platforms. You will deliver one of the largest and most complex platforms, and solve one of the most challenging integration and scaling requirements that is deployed on the cloud as well as on-prem.

 

Qualifications:

*       Bachelor's degree (Master’s a Plus) in engineering/computer science with an overall work experience of 15+ years with considerable software and platform development and delivery skills

*       Solid understanding of very large scale, high performance, real-time, cloud agnostic platforms and solutions engineering

*       Excellent communications skills with ability to engage at senior levels across the org.

*       Excellent presentation and visualization skills.

*       Scrum Master and PMP certification. Certified Product Owner qualifications a huge plus.

*       Ability to work with moderate degree of ambiguity and ability to influence across orgs.

*       Ability to manage multiple programs in a fast-paced environment with high degree of autonomy.

 

Desired Qualifications:

*       Product engineering experience

*       Be highly flexible and adaptable and demonstrate passion for program management and platform development
