What We Need

A user experience researcher to focus on‘s purchase funnel by providing customer feedback and insights to the cross functional cart and checkout team. The scope also covers transactional emails. This position helps drive revenue as we pursue a best in class checkout experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze, summarize and present research findings in a compelling way, both qualitative and quantitative (25%)
  • Collect strategic customer data through 1:1 interviews, in home, in lab and remote (20%)
  • Collect tactical customer data through a variety of methods (20%)
  • Create moderator guides, survey questions (10%)
  • Conduct usability feedback from Design Sprints (10%)
  • Create Study plans & Research Roadmaps based on stakeholder needs (10%)
  • Write tactical user testing protocols (5%)

Nature and Scope

  • Position reports to the Manager, User Research for
  • No direct reports.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
5 years

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ year’s experience (7-10 preferred) in user research, survey/customer feedback strategy, and other related disciplines (e-commerce experience preferred)
  • Master’s degree in HCI or related field
  • End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Experience with a variety of research methods including but not limited to: Contextual Inquiry, ethnography, empathy mapping, brainstorming, thinking strategically, personas, journey maps, card sorting, surveys, storytelling, moderated usability testing, & unmoderated usability testing. Eye tracking and stats are a bonus.
  • E-commerce experience, and familiarity with testing across channels, mobile, desktop, and physical stores to understand the multichannel experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability working in fast paced environment with shifting priorities while managing tactical deliverables and meeting deadlines
  • Desire to learn and grow your skill set
