Kelley Blue Book is looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher with a passion for delivering high quality, intuitive experiences for consumers and clients. In this role, you will help transform and evolve the consumer experience across shopping, research, and ownership. You will also help identify opportunities and partner with teams across the Cox Automotive ecosystem to bring integrated experiences to market. The Kelley Blue Book UX organization is comprised of a diverse mix of disciplines from Design to Research to Content Strategy. The group is deeply embedded in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment and has a substantial impact on the experience and the business. Position responsibilities: 
  • Provide insights to help inform and execute on product strategy and tactics by conducting both formative (e.g., ethnographic research, contextual interviews) and evaluative (e.g., lab/remote sessions, surveys) research
  • Responsible for working cross functionally with teams to shape and execute learning plans based on business needs and growth initiatives for both existing and new products
  • Uncover actionable insights and evangelize findings at various levels of the organization to help the business grow
  • Thought leader that mentors cross functional teams on conducting rapid formative research activities and pro-actively provides consumer centric trends and information regarding consumer behavior, needs, and innovative experiences
  • Work closely with the Analytics team and collaborates with Market Research to drive evidence based decision making
  • Lead and facilitate brainstorming sessions, needs analysis, features, and functionality workshops

Qualifications

Essential skills, knowledge and competencies:
  • Strong research foundation and flexible approach
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively partner with and communicate to stakeholders, designers, product managers and engineering development team members
  • Portfolio that includes examples of leading strategic research with significant business outcomes as well as creating long term research plans
  • Understanding of online advertising and revenue models and experience with mobile research
  • 5+ year’s related work experience. UX research experience including an established, heavily trafficked, consumer facing web site or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Factors Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction. Master’s degree preferred.
