Sr. Windows/Linux System Administrator

What you’ll do:

Our enterprise customers span Connected Car, Connected Home, tablets, smart meters, medical devices, connected construction equipment, plus thousands more devices from iPhones and Kindles to dog trackers. Right at the crux of these varied deployments lie our Device Lifecycle Management capabilities which provide enterprises a powerful mechanism to manage their devices in ways that make sense for their businesses.  Your role will help maintain our mission critical production infrastructure to high levels of availability, security, scalability, performance, and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Setup and maintain Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016.
  • Setup and maintain Linux OS (Centos, Ubuntu, Scintific Linux).
  • Setup and maintain Windows Domain Controller/Forest.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining Windows DNS.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining Microsoft Exchange 2013, 2016. 
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining VMware ESXi, VCenter, VMWare Horizon.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining KVM.
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining backup solutions (snapshots, Symantec Netbackup, Windows Backup).
  • Strong knowledge in configuring/maintaining monitoring tools (Icinga, Nagios, Pingdom).  
  • Strong knowledge in PowerShell, bash, scripting. 
  • Strong skills in network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Firewall). 
  • Additional duties as assigned

Ideally you’ll be an excellent communicator and coupled with have problem solving and debugging skills. 

Requirements you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • 10 or more years experience in an equivalent corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Self-starter: Must be capable of identifying problems and implementing sound, cost effective solutions. 
  • Broad technical experience within office IT support.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly developing work conditions
