SSIS / BI Production Support Consultant - Minnetonka, MN(Job Number:725225)

The Maintenance & Operations Consultant is accountable for providing IT Maintenance & Operations services to external customers through service development, transition, and support. This position is responsible to assure that service warranty objectives, IT metrics and operational outcomes are achieved and they drive ongoing improvements in service operations and support performance. The Service Coordinator works with a cross functional team of managers, delivery team, performance management, vendor management and external service provider(s) to achieve service and contractual requirements and to execute, maintain, and improve the underlying services through use of IT best practices in ITSM and ITIL. They are a trusted advisor working in close collaboration with the M&O COE to ensure performance in alignment with expectations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and coordinating all production support related activities
  • Provide leadership in critical production issue resolution both (Priority 1 and Priority 2)
  • Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 x 24 x 365 basis
  • Be willing to work on a 24x7 on call basis as needed
  • Function as a sub team lead and technical SME
  • Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs
  • Ensure that the work delivered by the team is of high quality
  • Work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution
  • Assist Service Manager in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Assist Service Manager in work order tasks including management of customer-driven priorities
  • Ensure that all documentation has been updated and that work product meets compliance requirements
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
  • Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Act as single point of contact for app and also provide required technical support and leadership
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks
  • Serves as technical expert for assigned areas; good to have experience in app/tool/version migration
  • Work in development, design and reviews, troubleshooting and post production issue resolution
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and recommend/execute corrective action plans
  • Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
  • Achieves harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team
  • Ensuring timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per schedule
  • Adherence to the defined M&O delivery processes/guidelines
  • Develops innovative approaches on performance optimization & automation
  • Take ownership of the assigned applications and ensure availability over weekends/holidays as per project need
