This position will support the month end close team which works closely with Consolidations to ensure proper and timely submission of the trial balances into HFM. Key responsibilities include:

• Perform error clearing and root-cause analysis / determine and implement corrective action

• Record tax provisions

• Research differences between the ledger and HFM

• Assume lead role in the monthly close / submission process

• Submit trial balance and sales data

• Compile metrics and ad-hoc reports

• Perform SAP maintenance for legal entity changes

• Maintain topside journal entry support

• Perform interface processing/monitoring

• Support the Financial Reporting Initiative by:

- Completing reconciliations between CDC and production and correcting outages

- Running allocations job in CDC ledger

- Extracting and submitting CDC trial balance from BI to HFM



In addition, this team will help support all Consolidations related questions for GFS Americas supported legal entities; and preparing required journal entries and tie-outs. Tasks and responsibilities related to closing and submission associated with the Financial Reporting Iniative will also be held within this team.



This position will support the monthly close process by performing various closing procedures, including:

• Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policy and US GAAP

• Prepare financial and accounting analysis completely and accurately

• Willingness to accept occasional travel for meetings and projects

• Maintain complete and accurate tasks lists and status of open items

• Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation

• Prepare basic analysis for external accountants and Corporate Audit

• Communicate known issues to manager timely

• Participate in the month end close

• Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects

• Participate in the delivery of internally developed training

• Engage directly with customers and business partners on routine activities and deliverables; begin to develop relationships Participate in all relevant training

• Operational Transformation support including owning end-to-end processes, independent issue resolution from start to finish and streamlining departmental processes



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required

• CPA eligible

• 0+ years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience



TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic accounting and financial reporting skills that include the following:

• Demonstrated technical financial reporting knowledge and experience

• Intermediate SAP and HFM skills preferred

• Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, Power Point) required

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in an unstructured environment

• Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues in all applicable Pfizer Finance and business functional areas
