What you'll do at

We are looking for a Release Engineer to join our mobile engineering team at WalmartLabs. Our iOS and Android mobile apps are used by tens of millions of users and we release new versions every two weeks. In this role, you will responsible for supporting and improving our CI/CD pipeline, automated testing and and release management.

There are very few places, if any, where you can bridge physical and digital experiences for hundreds of millions of users. Our team builds products that empower customers in over 5,000 Walmart stores via our flagship Walmart app as well as a new self-checkout app called Scan & Go. We are heavily investing in test automation and CI/CD to continue quickly shipping quality products at our growing scale. As our first release engineer, you will be responsible for driving our CI/CD efforts. You'll use your problem solving and technical skills to support and improve our build and release processes.

-Build and adopt tools for continuous integration, automated testing and reporting.
-Manage, standardize and improve build and release process for multiple mobile apps in our ecosystem.
-Enforce a reliable and efficient process to ship quality fast at scale.
-Drive iOS and Android app releases

Minimum Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in software engineering and/or release engineering.
Experience with Xcode and releasing iOS builds.
Experience with Android Studio and the Gradle build system.
Experience with CI tools like Jenkins.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience automating build processes.
Experience developing Gradle plugins to streamline and customize Android builds.
Experience with UI test automated frameworks such as Espresso, Robotium, Appium, Selenium, Bluepill, XCode UI Test, etc.
Prior experience managing releases for a large, ever-changing mobile application.
