Walmart Labs is looking for a Senior software development leader to build an exciting new product that will be delivered to tens of millions of our international market customers. This is an opportunity for an experienced Software Development leader to own a unique consumer product at scale at the intersection of e-commerce, digital payments and fintech innovation.

You will be responsible for the product delivery and tech execution including supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis.





Responsibilities

Oversee all technological aspects towards a successful product delivery, including: architecture, development, QA, release and optimization.

Lead various development projects simultaneously while completing them within appropriate deadlines.

Closely review and analyze code, system designs, IT operations and other deliverables by the engineering team.

Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.

Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.

Release early, release often

Work with product management to deliver high value, widely adopted analytics features to empower customers with right decisions

Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.

Build, manage, inspire and grow a high-performance product execution team that continuously meets or exceeds goals.

Set clear team goals, lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals

Oversee day-to-day operation, delegate tasks and set deadlines, collect feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts

Monitor team performance and report on metrics

Discover training needs and provide coaching, recognize high performance and reward accomplishments

+ Develops Innovation strategies, processes, and best practices

+ Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects

+ Ensures business needs are being met

+ Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects

+ Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design

+ Leads the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects

+ Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

+ Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates

+ Supports business objectives

+ Troubleshoots business and production issues

+ Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment
