As a frontend software engineer for Walmart Global eCommerce, you'll be responsible for large- scale, e-commerce Web applications development and maintenance. You'll interact with the business to provide robust technical solutions to business problems; you will interact with junior engineers to provide guidance as to best practices in web development. This position will support our efforts in front-end web development team.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
•BS/MS in Computer Science or related field +5 years experience building web applications
•Solid understanding of computer science principles
•Excellent Soft Skills
•Understanding the major algorithms like searching, sorting and graph ones.
•Strong skills in writing clean code using languages like Javascript, Python, Ruby and web framework such as ReactJS and NodeJS or both – front-end and back-end.
•Understanding how to engineer the RESTful microservices and knowledge of major software patterns like MVC, Singleton, Façade, Business Delegate.
•Deep knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JSON, GraphQL, protobuf.
•Posses extensive experience in building microservices, using back-end technologies (Node.js, NPM, Ruby is a very big plus),
•Experience in working with formal development environment (version control system, code review, strict coding standards, documentation, unit test)
•Good understanding of continuous integration tools and frameworks like Jenkins, Travis-CI, Maven, Gradle, Grunt.
•Good grasp of No Ops technologies like kubernetes, Docker, Mesos is a big plus.
•Distributed systems and distributed job management.
•Experience in working with the Agile environments, like Scrum and Kanban.
•Experience in architecting UI applications from scratch, with an emphasis on unit testing.
•Experience in dealing with the performance tuning for very large scale apps.
•Experience with leading teams through the full life-cycle of software development through design, development, quality and deployment.
•Experience in a development or architectural leadership role in a web-based Single Page application and Services product organization.
•Shell scripting like bash, ksh, sh.
•Unix command line and tools (e.g. grep, find, awk, sed, tr).
•Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Perl, Ruby, Python).
•Relational database design for MySQL, PostgreSQL, using SQL language and it’s standrads.
•Aptitude for writing clean, succinct and efficient code.
•Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up like environment

Preferred Qualifications
•Working knowledge of ReactJS, JQuery, Node.js, and Git is preferred
•Knowledge of ECMAScript 6 standard and V8
•Working knowledge of MySQL and other NoSQL databases like Hive, Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra
