Job Details


The Technical Services Statistician will be responsible for supporting intra-departmental customers, adoption and implementation of innovative solutions through statistical analysis tools, and actively engages with the Pfizer statistical community in maintaining best practices.


+ Analyze production data for establishment of process control limits

+ Review process data for development of process/product improvement projects

+ Accountability for execution of specific process/product improvements

+ Familiarity in use of Lean Six Sigma process improvement methods

+ Provide input for experiments including design, controls and analysis of results Prepare analysis for quarterly management review and/or annual reporting

+ Visual Inspection Defect Monitoring Limits

+ Accountability and Yield Limits

+ Manufacturing / Process Controls

+ Use appropriate tools or query scripts to programmatically mine information from databases Provide high level of data analysis support for Quality Investigations including issuance of technical reports summarizing findings/conclusions, including:

+ Establishment of product in-process control limits

+ Prediction of shelf-life impurity levels

+ Review of process data for trends

+ Summarize key findings in technical reports including easily understandable charts, graphs, tables and data plots



+ BS or higher in Applied Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience

+ Three years minimum of experience in statistical analysis in a technical/pharmaceutical setting


+ MS or higher in Applied Statistics or related field

+ Three to eight years of experience in statistical analysis in a technical/pharmaceutical setting.


+ Actively shares knowledge with others within Work Team through existing knowledge sharing processes/systems

+ Demonstrates strong technical/functional knowledge

+ High level of skill using JMP, MiniTab, or equivalent statistical analysis software

+ Demonstrates good understanding of pharmaceutical industry knowledge, cGMPs and ICH guidelines, and has strong understanding of business operations.


+ The ideal candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industries and have a working knowledge of business procedures required to adequately perform minimal job functions.

+ Must possess excellent communication skills coupled with leadership ability and an own it attitude.

+ Have a strong history of problem solving and project accomplishment, the ability to overcome project obstacles, project and task management, an ability to manage priorities and lead others while working under pressure in a potentially ambiguous environment with aggressive time constraints.
