**Role Description:**

From an operational perspective, the Statutory COE has a number of corporate and statutory accounting responsibilities. The Statutory COE Operations Lead is responsible for the overall delivery, co-ordination and support of Pfizer's end to end Statutory Reporting process and Quarterly US GAAP related controls and activities (as applicable). They are also expected to oversee and manage specific Statutory COE operations and take a leadership role across the RTR department.

Some activities may include:

+ Oversee ASPAC Statutory Accounting and Reporting: Manage and lead the Statutory Reporting process through to timely and accurate filing for the ASPAC region in-scope legal entities. Where applicable, act as an escalation point during the statutory reporting and audit process.

+ Act as a final reviewer of financial statements, statutory trial balances, other deliverables and working papers/files to ensure completeness & accuracy of disclosures and full compliance with local regulations.

+ Smooth delivery of Statutory Audits within agreed timelines, budget and to the required level of audit quality with elimination of potential audit findings, fee overruns or Management Letter Points.

+ Lead, coach, train and develop direct reports so they can proactively carry out their role to the highest possible standard.

+ Remote management of direct reports in GFS Dalian is required.

+ Guide direct reports as they develop their own people management skills.

+ Assist in the setting of objectives for the team(s) and ensure that regular feedback is provided. Actively drive colleague engagement across the RTR department.

+ Act as the key point of contact to oversee all Statutory Technical Accounting queries for assigned entities from within the Statutory COE as well as from other stakeholders.

+ Manage the quality and development of the financial accounts and processes. Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so that the group can operate in an efficient and effective manner.

+ Oversee and support the implementation of complex projects/issues which require experience and significant technical accounting abilities.

+ Oversee and support the migration of statutory activities to the Statutory COE.

+ Ensure strong commitment to the control environment through training and review.

+ Act as a central point of contact for key stakeholders such as NY Consolidations, Controllers, Finance Directors and GFS Management. Develop effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

+ Act as an escalation point for Audit (internal and external). Ensure audit deliverables are provided timely and to a high standard.

+ Represent Statutory COE/R2R in site meetings and other forums as required.

+ Assist the Statutory COE/RTR Managers in developing and managing the operational goals and tactical objectives of the RTR department.

+ Other ad hoc responsibilities may be assigned including, but not limited to, involvement in: US GAAP reporting & associated RTR projects, oversight of transitional service agreements, and reporting of entities outside the ERP system, etc.

**Education, Skills and Experience Required**


University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required Qualified Accountant required

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience:**

+ 5-7 years of related accounting experience. Practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting including familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley. In particular, an ability to analytically review and challenge financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to policy.

+ Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. Strong people management focus with a proven track record.

+ Strong technical accounting and analytical financial skills

+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills required,

+ Proven influencing and presentational skills

+ Ability to work independently, to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and to bring tasks to completion

+ High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility

+ High customer and service delivery focus

+ Oracle/SAP and HFM/FDM experience essential
