The global resourcing optimization of the Essential Health business includes the formation of a regional team that can respond to local business needs with global/regional alignment; fulfill diverse business needs with flexibility and streamlined decision making for project approval and staffing.



The Strategic Commercial Support Regional Leader leads this team of professionals of a variety of commercial disciplines that is deployed to non-continuous projects with significant business impact in the Region. The team members lead or support such projects in close partnership with market teams.



The SCS Leader reports to the Regional President and under her/his direction works with the Regional Leadership Team, Country Managers and BU Leads defining the project focus, partnering in the project execution and monitoring progress and outcomes.







RESPONSIBILITIES:







+ Propose, obtain agreement to, and guide the implementation of strategic non-continuous projects which will address specific market needs with significant impact, and ensure successful achievement of planned outcomes



+ These projects include and are not limited to



+ **Strategic Projects:** Global and in-market initiatives including growth strategy, Go To Market transformation, portfolio prioritization



+ **Marketing Support:** Support for new launches and portfolio shifts



+ **Business Development Support:** Integration, divestment, option evaluation



+ **Efficiency / savings Projects:** Portfolio rationalization, benchmarking, organizational assessments



+ **Ad HOC Needs:** Special projects that do not fit the above (e.g., compliance, innovation pilot design)



+ Establish proper governance to evaluate and prioritize the project pipeline in partnership with the regional leadership team including identification of initiatives and countries to allocate the resources



+ Identify the right set of capabilities & competences to staff the team based on prioritized projects



+ Develop program management practices, methods and metrics and effectively use technology and relevant data to track project progress and inform key stakeholders



+ Lead the more complex and impactful projects ensuring adequate market teams and enabling functions involvement



+ Proactively practice effective resource management to ensure team members are allocated to relevant projects consistent with their current capabilities and development needs to achieve business results and develop talent.



+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to procure necessary resources and coordinate funding as needed for approved projects



+ Partner with market leaders for the identification of new business opportunities that could originate non-continuous projects that could not be managed with market resources.



+ Continuously identify and attract high performing colleagues to promote a robust talent flow to staff the team according to the length of the projects



+ Use performance management, people development, talent planning and other processes to lead, motivate and develop team members. Responsible for development and implementation of processes to drive engagement.



+ Role model an active leadership on "Winning the Right Way" and establish a strong culture of strict compliance to applicable regulations and internal policies, developing education and remediation plans when needed







QUALIFICATIONS:



Education







+ Bachelors Degree is a must in business administration, engineering, science or similar disciplines



+ MBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred







Experience







+ 15 years of working experience with preference in the healthcare industry. 5 years or more managing direct reports



+ Extensive cross-functional project leadership



+ Robust commercial experience in functions such as marketing, sales, business development, strategic planning, business intelligence and similar



+ In-region PEH-network and knowledge preferred



+ Demonstrated success managing project teams



+ Strategic planning, business development and portfolio experience



+ Ability to travel up to ~40% of year **Targeted Skills**
