What You’ll Do

In this highly visible role of Strategy and Planning Manager you will:

  • Manage the Technical Services (TS) EMEAR Strategy and Planning team
  • Develop and refresh the TS EMEAR Strategy, covering three major pillars: People, Business & Technology; Interlocking with WW TS, EMEAR and Sales regional strategies
  • Develop the TS EMEAR Talent strategy to ensure TS EMEAR people and skills stay relevant and competitive; Prioritise and manage talent programs and activities to execute on the strategy
  • Run the Financial Year planning process for both bookings and budgets, enabling prioritization and trade off decisions by the TS EMEAR board and Global forums
  • Manage the Strategic Priorities and identify Strategic initiatives
  • Develop competitive and market analysis to drive strategic direction
  • Develop the capabilities and contributions of the team, ensuring a highly productive and motivated team environment in which all opinions are recognised, respected and treated equitably
  • Develop strong, productive relationships locally, regionally and globally to increase team effectiveness and achieve business goals
  • Interlock with other groups in Cisco; drive effective execution and collaboration across Cisco’s matrixed organization
  • Represent the EMEAR region in global Strategy, Planning and Talent forums, giving key input in discussions on the perspective of the region across a range of topics

Who You Are:

Main requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience of Business Operations or Strategy and Planning
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a team
  • MBA University degree or equivalent

  • Strategic thinking, great in managing risks and change
  • High degree of comfort working with senior executives including excellent influential and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and listening skills including an ability to set and negotiate expectations
  • Solid working knowledge of Strategic planning, budgeting and metrics
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills to inform and influence the senior leadership team
  • Ability to assess data and information and make timely, effective decisions with consideration for both the long and short term business needs
