It is paramount for PepsiCo to develop leaders that have a strong fundamental understanding the unique needs and complexities in the nutrition space. It's critical that we are successful in nutrition space with an aggressive strategy for both acceleration of the current portfolio, strong platform innovation and inorganic (JV, M&A) opportunities to reach a global Nutrition business of $30 billion by 2020. Responsible for partnering with the VP Global Nutrition Strategy to craft the F&V agenda and serve as the primary strategic leader for the Healthy Morning platform. Focused on expanding/delivering the overall category growth plan in partnership and with functional oversight for the regional nutrition strategy resources and category leader along with identifying and shepherding nutrition specific corridor strategies based on defined needs. Play a critical part in enabling the global Strategy/Nutrition transformation efforts through providing the strategic direction for global juice productivity that is a critical effort to maintain the financial viability of the juice/F&V category.

  • Identify/define business questions and issues impacting the nutrition category, develop strategic, analytical, financial frameworks to conduct analyses. Assist in planning and execution of the Global Nutrition Strategic Planning Processes and global review
  • Strong capability in developing/designing implementation plans to drive execution
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influence mgmt skills with the ability to gain credibility with team members/sr mgmt
  • Define creative, out-of-the-box thinking to identify white space opportunities and formulate an approach to address the identified opportunity. Act as a responsive partner, solving real-time issues or addressing opportunities that arise for the global Nutrition Category leader and VP Global Nutrition Strategy. Support the identification/valuation of business development and white space opportunities to support business growth and optimization across the Nutrition organization to include organic growth transformative strategy leadership, such as incubation, cost improvement,new business models.
  • Play key role in the strategic planning process for the Nutrition category, partnering with Finance lead and regional Strategy talent
  • Provide key thought-leadership and guidance for the global nutrition category leader in terms of expanding the existing nutrition corridor beyond the current spaces for F&V to include new spaces that offer unique growth opportunities
  • Maintain a strong CPG and retail industry network, thus a broad view of the entire sector, to ensure PEP has a clear competitive advantage and to track competitive performance
  • Advance the internal network and capabilities of the strategy function globally, especially in the nutrition space with clear prioritization of providing clarity on the career expectations for strategy talent globally. Indirect managerial and project supervisory responsibility for the Strategy Assoc mgrs depending on the specific project work including effort oversight and project prioritization


  • 9+ yrs of strategy exp in a variety of positions both internally and externally. BA required (MBA strongly preferred). Highly analytical/motivated/decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine question, and influence multiple decision makers. Current CPG exp to be able to identify/initiate appropriate partnership alliances/ acquisitions
  • Prior exp, internally/externally, playing a key role in defining the strategy agenda for a nutrition category/org across geographies
  • Track record of identifying calculated risks for the long-term benefit of the org and thereby considered an extremely progressive thought-leader. Communication skills that is able to educate/ influence mgmt, sr leaders to act in desired manner through written/verbal communication. Analytical/negotiating skills as evidence by high intelligence, strong financial and analytical capabilities and the proven ability to develop, sell and drive suitable partnerships, alliances or other transactions to closure. Global outlook with sensitivity/awareness of social and cultural differences
