We’ll look for you to provide expertise and support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of appeals and grievances. You’ll be charged with analyzing/identifying trends and may need to help resolve written Department of Insurance complaints and multi-issue provider complaints. We’ll back you. We’ll train you. This is a challenging role with serious impact. You’ll need to focus on bringing out the best in team members through coaching, huddles and modeling proper behaviors and practices. You’ll be accountable for overall team performance within a demanding, fast paced environment that involves a great deal of complexity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily / weekly / monthly activities of a 15 - 20 person team including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action
  • Communicate with appropriate parties regarding appeals and grievance issues, implications and decisions
  • Analyze and identify trends for all appeals and grievances

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED or higher
  • 1+ years Supervisory / Leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and solving problems in an office, claims or customer service environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years claims, appeals or grievance experience
