The Supervisor Clinical Support will be responsible for the overall performance, productivity, development and guidance for clinical operations staff.  Assist in the day to-day management, operation, planning and implementation to ensure the department objectives are fulfilled per various contractual requirements.  Supervise clinical staff to ensure that productivity and quality standards are met and act as a resource regarding regulatory standards and departmental processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer department policy and procedures directed by department assistant manager / manager to include: handling employee issues, monitoring PTO and overtime, timesheet approval, assist with interviewing, oversight of new hire orientation, and routine departmental tasks.
  • Supervise staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Run queries and analyze data to determine best utilization of departmental staff resources in relation to work volume and skill sets of staff.
  • Communicate productivity status and departmental concerns to assistant manager / manager and provide input for recommended changes. 
  • Recommend process flow changes when needed.
  • Assist in directing staff in evaluation and processing of medical information.
  • Act as a resource to staff regarding regulatory standards and ensures adherence to regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Identify need for and assist with development of training and updates for all staff.
  • Communicate, organize, delegate, and work cooperatively as a member of the team to ensure goals / objectives of department are accomplished timely and within budget parameters.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • 5+ years of Supervisory or Leadership experience in customer service and / or clinical operations role
  • Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Word - edit and create documents. Excel - general spreadsheet navigation, exporting list from one Excel to another or from DB to Excel, Sorting. Outlook -  calendar and email. PowerPoint - creating and editing presentations)
  • Data entry / recovery in Database is required
  • Requires analytical thinking for process improvements and implementation to meet process deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration or other related field or Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing
  •  Advanced Excel skills (creating formulas and pivot tables but NOT required).
  • Clinical patient care experience
  • Experience with EKG interpretation, ICD coding, phlebotomy and interpretation of lab results
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and their application to various medical examinations and documents
  • Working knowledge of case management of medical treatments, testing, and patient status
  • Knowledge of analyzing and reporting statistical data
  • National Career Readiness Certificate

  • Demonstration of problem solving in a fast-paced environment, multitask and meet tight deadlines 
  • Proven ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
