The Supply Chain Lead (SCL) is responsible for leading the development and execution

of investigational material supply strategies for early and late stage development

programs intended for regulatory approvals of new products and for new indications or

line extensions of currently approved products.



The SCL is responsible for designing the appropriate clinical supply strategy, managing the clinical supply Risk and Cost in alignment with the Clinical protocol, the BU/RU budget and regulatory environment. Working as a key member of the PharmSci Project Team, proactively recognize and address logistical and regulatory issues associated with the requirements of the clinical development program and project team objectives. Act as a subject matter expert on all information regarding the global use of investigational material in clinical studies. Accountability for Pfizer Clinical Supply delivery and oversight of end-to-end process from API planning to finished product received at the sites.



The SCL may be responsible for interfacing with external academic research organizations, clinical research organizations and other pharma companies. These interactions also include development of contractual agreements involving quality, legal and division leadership involvement.



Responsible for initiating and leading the Clinical Supply Team (matrix management) with a network of internal the key Pfizer Clinical milestones for study starts and patient resupply.

The SCL;



+ Functions as technical resource for department, such as VAT/duty considerations. Provides guidance to and/or may lead or support moderately complex projects.



+ Possesses a good foundation in making decisions within a cross functional team.



+ Has an understanding of the customers and managing their expectations. Begins to demonstrate a balance between providing good customer support and aligning with CSSM interests.



+ Possesses solid knowledge of project management concepts and methodologies and is experienced in effectively utilizing these.



+ Solid foundation of the Supply Chain drug development processes with strong technical expertise on all supply chain systems and tools. Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its challenges



+ Demonstrates an ability to work independently with programs requiring moderately complex support. Able to formulate options with guidance from management.



+ Solid communicator and relays information quickly. Prepares clear communication drafts with the appropriate level of detail, may require management support.



**Qualifications**

Education: BS in pharmacy or engineering with field with 3 years' experience or BS with 5 years industry experience.



Work Experience: Pharmaceutical supply chain, pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug substance / dosage form development, clinical operations, project management.



General Skills / Experience:



+ Drug development, clinical study design including telerandomization, pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging/labeling.

+ Management of multi-disciplinary teams that includes measuring work, negotiation,conflict management, process improvement, project management.

+ Proven ability to effectively develop, communicate, and gain support for execution plans with a wide range of stakeholders

+ Experience managing change in a dynamic, complex environment

+ Clinical supply packaging
