Selling and Delivery Operations Manager Job
Description:


Summary:

This position drives activities to achieve cost targets and improve performance in the areas of true efficiency, service, safety, and supply chain capability while ensuring compliance objectives are met. He or she maintains positive employee relations while driving significant change. This position will support the Michigan Markets driving Selling, Delivery, Merchandising and Customer Service Metrics for the Selling and Delivery Function.


Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on key S&D drivers, including GTM changes such as Geo Box , Chilled, waste elimination, while achieving key service and delivery metrics
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects for the S&D team
  • Support the Global Control Standards key processes
  • Support overall S&D efforts to deliver Plan
  • Support the EHS agenda for the S&D function
  • Support the People agenda through coaching USMs and SDLs on S&D and P&L metrics
  • Own the Cost, Productivity and service agenda for the Markets
  • Execute the Service (Walker/ACE) framework for the Markets
  • This role may require off-shift and weekend work
  • This role will require travel (approx. 60%)
  • Collaborate with the RPAM to drive location level operational improvements



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, MBA a plus or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a direct store delivery environment
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales and delivery experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early morning and some weekends
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft suite
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to interface effectively with plant personnel, outside contractors and different functional groups.
  • High levels of analytical and financial skills, ability to use data to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and accurately assess financial impacts.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
