**Position Purpose:**



This position provides leadership for the supply chain - supply planning function encompassing the purchase & management of materials; planning & scheduling of production at both PGS Cairo & CMOs; & managing the internal supply relationships to ensure compliance in everything we do, whilst delivering the highest quality products to our patients and remaining financially responsible.







**Primary duties:**







+ Acts as a GMP compliance role model for his/her area of responsibility by educating the team & ensuring compliance to WHO GMP along with Pfizer Quality Standards: (1) Ensure batch-related documentation is accurate, complaint, completed & reviewed as per site quality procedures. This includes & is not limited to production orders, & any related forms. (2) Ensure that there are only trained and competent staffs operating in the supply planning team. (3) Ensure that all systems are maintained and validated in partnership with the BT & technical services groups.



+ Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory & corporate affairs requirements such as and not limited to EHS, corporate compliance, Egyptian ministry of health laws & decrees, & government regulations.



+ Responsible for ensuring that PGS Cairo & External Supply Parties (i.e. CMOs) delivers on external expectations of supply to local market.



+ Monitor & manage proactively PGS Cairo & External Supply Parties (i.e. CMOs) volume recovery with the support of PGS Cairo finance team.



+ Responsible for the purchase of all raw materials, bulk & packaging materials in accordance with site procedures & inventory targets.



+ Ensure that demand forecast is converted into an achievable production schedule at both PGS Cairo & External Supply Parties (i.e. CMOs) side.



+ Ensure received materials & finished goods are released in a timely manner that won't adversely impact production scheduling and hence customer satisfaction.



+ Work with production & external supply functions to ensure that LRVF (Long Range Volumes Forecast) is properly assessed to ensure that PGS Cairo & External Supply Parties (i.e. CMOs) will continue to deliver the required volumes from a strategic prospective.



+ Communicate with finance, warehouse, manufacturing operations, & quality operations functions within the organization to ensure that all departments' requirements are met in a timely manner.



+ Participate in continual process improvement focusing on supply chain.



+ Ensure that all team members are suitably trained to maximize flexibility to support the manufacturing and packaging operation in accordance with site training requirements.



+ Drive team engagement, effective communication and development of direct reports by being available and present.



+ Prioritize effectively to ensure that time & resources are optimized to support PGS Cairo mission.



+ Ensure standard operating procedures are developed & maintained in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements as they relate to GMP and production processes.



+ Ensure a safe & compliant work area.



+ Prepare and report on key performance indicators and departmental activities as required.



+ Monitor & publish PGS Cairo & External Supply Parties (i.e. CMOs) performance as it relates to delivery of quality products.



+ Comply with all completion timelines such as and not limited to change requests, quality investigations, actions, documentation updates, & training.







**Key outputs include:**







+ Leadership & Management of Direct Reports: Pfizer Voice & Resource Management.



+ Compliance: deviations, CAPA, Change Control, Procedures, & Training.



+ Supply: Volume recovery variance, in stock performance, & % in stock.



+ Planning: schedule adherence, inventory management for all materials & finished goods.



+ Financial: Budget adherence.



+ Safety: Number of safety incidents.







**Technical Skills:**







+ Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing site



+ Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies







**Education:**







+ Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business discipline.







**Knowledge & Experience:**







+ At least 10 years directly related experience in pharmaceutical operations.



+ Understanding of GMPs and compliance in the pharma industry



+ Business acumen and maturity to operate within a large multi-national company



+ Knowledge of site operational activities and budget management



+ Strong knowledge of and commitment to Quality and EHS



+ Strong demonstration record of Pfizer values in terms of customer focus, community, respect for people, performance, collaboration, leadership, integrity, quality, & innovation.

+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. English fluency is a pre-requisite,



+ Understanding of pharma commercial business



+ Analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem solving skills are a must.
