Cisco seeks a Technical Solution Architect for our Collaboration Go-to-Market team in the Global Partner Organization to develop and lead the adoption of Collaboration solutions through our channel partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and brings the industry, business, and technical skills necessary to work effectively with internal Cisco peers and external partner executives.

Collaboration is a cornerstone of Cisco’s product and solution portfolio. The Technical Solution Architect will be responsible for providing technical and architectural expertise for developing the GTM partner enablement strategy for Cisco’s Collaboration Solutions. The candidate must have expertise with Cisco’s Collaboration portfolio. Knowledge of competitive products is also recommended with this position. The ideal candidate would also have cross architectural knowledge of Cisco solutions is it pertains to Collaboration.


The Technical Solution Architect will provide a consultative approach to understanding customer / partner technical requirements within the Collaboration Architecture including an advanced knowledge of the competitive landscape. The Technical Solution Architect, in partnership with Collaboration BDM(s), will work with stakeholders within Cisco as well as Technology/Ecosystem Partners, and Channel Partners, to understand the solution requirements, provide input to the design, develop the technical enablement strategy, and coordinate technical enablement.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of many of these key responsibilities and competencies:

·       Be able to define the requirements for technical enablement in regards to Cisco Collaboration solutions including lab, demo, curriculum and tools to drive partner competency and accelerate sales.

·       Exposure to Collaboration Solutions selling to Enterprise and Corporate Line-of-Business as well as to traditional IT buying centers.

·       Articulate the unique value of Cisco Collaboration solutions by itself or within an integrated multi-architectural solution.

·       Use customer and industry knowledge to influence Business Units to create solutions that maximize sales potential.

·       Maintain collaborative relationships with the Channel and Partner Sales Team and Engineers in addition to team members, customers and partners in any location and across functional Business Units.

·       Ensure the architectural impact and capabilities of Cisco Collaboration solutions are understood and valued.

·       Develop your peer team's knowledge of Cisco Collaboration selling concepts.

·       Professionally present to Cisco's corporate groups, channels, and customer management.

·       Lead and actively participate in partner enablement activities such as pre-release trainings, Partner VT, and other partner event forums.

·       Develop and execute strategies to drive Collaboration Solution enablement to partners worldwide.


Additional required knowledge/skills:


·       Experience driving projects and programs, measuring performance and trends, and communicating cross-functionally.

·       Ability to promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges and problems.

·       Review competitive solutions, technology and product offerings.

·       Understanding and conversant about industry, company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, adaptability and negotiation skills.

·       Typically requires an Engineering/Computer Science degree.

·       Cisco and/or 3rd Party certifications are a plus: CCIE-Voice, CCNP-Voice, or CCNA-Voice, or CCNA-Video or Software vendor certifications in line with domain specialization.

·       Travel: Could include occasional overseas
