Who You Are
You are an experienced Systems Engineer (SE) with a strong network, collaboration, unified access, security and datacenter\virtualization background. You will partner with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing network product solutions. You have industry knowledge and years of technology experience to aid in technical selling, explaining features and benefits to customers-and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs.

In this role you will gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in a variety of vertical markets. In additional to technological aptitude and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, you have interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills that evoke passion and confidence.

Required skills & abilities:
Candidate should possess 5+ years experience in field technical sales as a Systems Engineer or equivalent. Preferred candidate location is Columbus, GA but will strongly consider the Greater Atlanta area. Candidates must be a proven customer-focused technical sales professional who consistently performs/drives the following tasks/activities.
* Provides high level technical information and design/implementation guidance
* Provides an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio, including software and services
* Collaborates with the Account Manager(s) and leverages additional resources e.g. (consulting specialists, demo labs, etc.) to recommend, develop, and propose appropriate customer solution and services offerings
* Acts in an increasingly consultative fashion and is looked to as a trusted technical advisor by the account team and customer allowing the SE to identify Cisco solution opportunities aligned to the customer's business goals
* Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
* CCNP, CCDP or similar vendor Certification Required
* Strong understanding of Collaboration, Security, SDN, server and desktop virtualization is also highly desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills
