You will be responsible for driving sales around our unified SP Infrastructure Portfolio in a Software Led Selling Motion. You will be a key

technical driver, advisor, and collaborator to experts in the market, our customer base, engineering, and our sales technical leaders in the

field. You will get hands-on with our technology suite and have access to world class resources to ensure you’re successful. You'll be involved in driving GTM strategy around 5G, IoT and Telco NFV, Web Scale solution , yet doing this with advanced modern tooling, automation, and true out of box solution creation. You will drive and create outcome based selling motion for the field with strong cross-organization collaboration. You'll collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams across Sales, Services, and Engineering.

Who You Are

Experience Required:


-         Experience managing and working with Tier 2/3 Service Providers

-         Experience of developing and selling complex solutions into the SP community

-         Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationships

-         Contribute to the development and refinement of Cisco’s EPC vision and strategy

-         Assist sales team in all phases of the selling process.

-         Work with Account managers to identify/qualify customer & prospect opportunities & define requirements

-         Work with Product Managers to reflect customer requirements in feature set & road map

-         Manage & provide direct input to customer RFXs.

-         Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial proposals.

-         Maintain contact and open communication with customers to assist with future needs.

-         Active in tender submissions .

-         Preparation of technical sales materials including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.

-         Experience in collaborating with cross-functional organizations such as CA/AS/TS, Sales AM/SE/RM/OD/CD, Capital, Manufacturing, etc

-         Experience building actionable long and short term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends

-         Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.

-         Typically requires BS degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of related experience working in fast paced, highly analytical environments

-         Experience managing and implementing large initiatives through all levels of the organization

-         Superior communication and good technical and business background required

-         High aptitude to learn about other functional areas (product, sales, services) as necessary to drive cross functional projects

-         Leadership presence and ability to influence senior executives

-         Self-motivated and autonomous with excellent time management skills

-         Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

-         Ability to drive results and manage multiple demands

-         Telecommunications industry experience a plus


 Technical Skills:


-         Technical and hands-on proficiency to work across the wide range of technologies, products and markets covered by Cisco’s SP Networking Practice and NFV/NFVI virtualization platforms and strategies

-         Successful track record in technical pre-sales in the European wireless telecommunications industry – a direct pre-sales and in-depth technology related experience in the EPC market is a must

-         Solid understanding of LTE and wireless technologies and understanding of EPC landscape including

o   vendors/products/key attributes

o   evolution for 5G, CIoT, NFV

-         Solid understanding of operator packet core network infrastructure, it’s elements roles and their requirements, including legacy SGSN/GGSN as well as non-3GPP access flavors. Clear understanding of mobile network policy management and QoS in home and roaming use cases for both data and VoLTE services.

-         High level architectural view on applications wherever EPC  and various adjacent systems might be involved.

-         Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking

-         Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels

-         Acute attention to detail & organization

-         Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude

-         A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial

-         Significant, proven and demonstrable cellular wireless industry experience in a senior level business development role

-         Able to drive deep technology conversation around Physical to Virtual transition, NFV Infrastructure, Management and Orchestration, OpenStack plus other VIM technologies, Service Assurance – Infrastructure, Service level understanding

-         Experiences of how network and cloud interact, future role of SP Infrastructure, etc.

-         Demonstrable experience selling complex technical solutions to technical and executive management

-         Ability to network within a client organization to identify all key influencers and decision makers.
