What You'll Do 

With this position, Cisco is committed to hire a talented Pre-sales Systems Engineer to work very closely with our Account and Partner sales teams providing the best in class technology expertise to our customers located around Graz and Styria region on the early stages of sales processes.


As Cisco Systems Engineer you will be:

Responsible for technical sales of Enterprise Networking and Security Solutions to our customers. Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for account opportunities. Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements. Understand and articulate Cisco's Architectures and Services for the Security product portfolio. Create, present and document customer specific technical solutions. Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for Cisco AM/SE teams, customers, partners and prospects. Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, upper level management presentations, and Cisco technology solutions) while allowing local account team to maintain long-term ownership. Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in assigned major account opportunities.

We are building a team that will drive the success of our Digital Network Architecture. Cisco seeks a Systems Engineer for Enterprise Networking in Austria (to cover customers located around Graz and surrounding area) to provide technical leadership and guidance to teams in support of sales and development efforts. In this role, specifically from Enterprise Networking perspective, you will be educating customers on the value and capabilities of the Digital Network Architecture, collaborating with other Enterprise Networking SE's to drive successful execution, and supporting our channels partner engineering teams. 


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

- 5-10+ years related experience.

- Cisco product experience and specific solution/ technology/ product positioning required or product experience in key competitor offerings.

- Pre-Sales experience required.

- Fluency in English and German required.

- The person should be based in Graz or Styria region.


Desired Skills

- Outstanding technical knowledge and consultative skills. Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources.

- In-depth knowledge of baseline Systems Engineer skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.

- In-depth industry knowledge in the Security technology and market segment. Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.

- Competitive Security knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings. Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

- Cisco or competitor certification is a big plus

- Technical degree from the top university is a plus.
