Position Description:

POSITION PURPOSE
The Home Depot in Marietta, GA is looking to hire a Systems Engineer- Enterprise Data Protection for our Information Security team.  The role will be responsible for the administration and policy management of the data loss prevention tools implemented to improve security posture across the enterprise.  Day-to-day activities include but are not limited to:

  • Review and analyze files containing sensitive data and Quarantine/Release/Review as appropriate
  • Write Regular Expressions to look for patterns of sensitive data
  • System administration, appliance patching and release upgrades 
  • Systems configuration and integration with technologies for monitoring, backup etc.
  • Assist in proof-of-concepts with vendors
  • Application onboarding, API integration and troubleshooting
  • Usage event log monitoring 
  • Ensuring enterprise wide adherence to DLP standards and requirements
  • Will be part of the data loss prevention team to perform day-to-day operations that ensure smooth running of the DLP environment including review and ensure consistent policies and standards
  • Will generate KPI metrics, build reports and dashboards consistent across the DLP program
  • Will be responsible for the monitoring and operational stability of any infrastructure related to DLP
The Systems Engineer develops, maintains and supports technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for small to mid-sized projects. Performs configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on mid-sized and smaller projects. Performs root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. Ability to listen to user issues and translate to determine appropriate technical solution.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform installation, maintenance and support of system software and user support on small to mid-sized projects. 
Perform configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on small to mid-sized projects. 
Monitor and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved. 
Perform installation, maintenance and support of hardware and infrastructure on small to mid-sized projects. 
Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. 
Assist in store & SSC engineering and roll-out implementation.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology 
Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment: 
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: 
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:


Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 
1 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, operating systems and system software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on Experience in working with the team building the data protection program, data classification skills and a clear understanding of privacy standards and regulations (PCI, HIPAA etc.)
Knowledge of DLP tools like Symantec (Vontu), O365 (DLP), McAfee(EPO) and CASB tools like Netskope, SkyHigh
Ability to develop , refine, analyze RegEx patterns to effectively tune DLP policies 
In-depth experience with DLP in an enterprise environment
Ability to analyze policy violations 
Knowledge of Powershell, Shell scripting and programing languages like Java, Python, C, C# 
Good understanding of role based access, identity and access management concepts.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Ability to manage a catalog of security data and dashboards that can be tailored for various audiences
Strong listening and communications skills, with ability to clearly and concisely explain complex problems and technologies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Working knowledge of the PC (hardware and software) is essential. 
Ability to listen to user issues and translate to determine appropriate technical solution. 
Ability to work autonomously and with a diverse team. 
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
