What You'll Do:

You will be an Account SE for named account Federal Government which is a German-wide customer with the main focus in Berlin, responsible for driving the technical account strategy and provides high-level technical support to customers in close alignment with the Client Executive and the account team in order to achieve the commercial goals.

You will act in an increasingly consultative fashion and looked to as a guide, or trusted technical advisor, in your field by the account team and customer. Engagements to customers are face-to-face or via collaborative tools and technology such as WebEx, Telepresence, etc.

In this job, you will,

  • Provide an architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio and can demonstrate your technical specialization for specific opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams across the Architecture Teams, Sales, Service and Engineering.
  • Generate leads through customer meetings, seminars, and education.
  • Participate in the overall account plan process.
  • Qualify Opportunities.
  • Analyze customer business problem in a technical context.
  • Define solution options and articulate the benefits of a Cisco solution.
  • Understand business economics and trends of the industries and vertical markets in which the customer conduct business and reflect how Cisco solutions can add financial and strategic value.
  • Build relationships both within and outside of Cisco; establish credibility quickly through personal self-confidence.

Who You'll Work With:

Located in Berlin, you will report to the Senior System Engineer Manager, owning the Customer Solution Architecture and Systems Engineering. You will be part of the SE team covering key strategic customers in the German Public operation where new and most relevant public IT trends are developed and realized. The public-sector landscape is a very collaborative landscape where key customers are often influencers for their specific vertical segment.

Who You Are:

You will bring,

  • 3+ years’ experience in sales engineering/consultancy or equivalent capacity
  • Pre-Sales experience highly recommended.
  • Cisco product/solutions experience or meaningful experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.
  • Deep technical knowledge in Enterprise Networking and deep understanding in Data Center Networking
  • Native in German and fluent in English.

Desired Skills

  • Advanced understanding of Cisco vision and technology.
  • Cisco certification like CCNP, CCDP, CCIE are helpful.
  • Understand customer business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform and to a Cisco solution.
  • Establish Business Architecture Certification like: TOGAF / ITIL.
  • Business and Technical Acumen – understand tools like: BMC / SWOT / PESTLE.
  • Understand networking industry trends, including new products and solutions.
  • Understand competitor product and solution landscape.
  • Excellent technical consulting skills, including ability to define trade-offs, ask probing questions, and incorporate Cisco solutions into a broader technology environment.
  • Strong customer interaction skills, insightful, open communication.
  • Willingness to take over responsibilities and feel accountable for the results of her/his work.
  • Strong teammate: drive a culture of teamwork for success.
