The Talent Consulting Manager will be responsible for leading or contributing to the execution of projects that focus on improving the organizational effectiveness of and driving transformative change for different business groups across Prudential.  The position is part of the Talent Consulting team which provides internal consulting services to business leaders focused on vision/strategy clarification, organizational capability development, talent management strategy clarification and change management.
The ideal candidate should possess a background in consulting with experience in designing organizational capabilities, operating models and structures, executing change management strategies and aligning talent management practices to business objectives.  The ideal candidate will be expert at providing structure and organization to projects where ambiguity and shifting priorities are to be anticipated. 
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Help business leaders develop approaches to clarify strategic direction, propose different operating models, identify how functional areas should be organized and create a roadmap for implementing needed changes.
  • Participate as a key project member on organizational initiatives that are high-impact and intended to drive transformational change for different business groups.
  • Participate in the “discovery” phase projects to better understand organizational strengths and challenges.  Determine appropriate data collection instruments and organizational assessment tools
  • Synthesize and analyze to determine organizational trends.  Develop hypothesis requiring further exploration and/or data.  Formalize conclusions and develop preliminary solutions/recommendations
  • Help build senior level presentations that capture complex issues into a visually appealing yet simple manner that will enable decision-making
  • Manage projects, timelines and deliverables 

  • 3-5 years consulting experience (in a consulting environment)
  • Project management experience
  • Self starter  - demonstrates initiative - someone who does not need to be assigned tasks but rather thinks through the problem/assignment and determines what needs to be done
  • Strong focus on delivery - upholds high performance standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills - able to understand the audience and present information/materials accordingly
  • Strong skills preparing communication materials and presentations is required
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to influence/persuade- ability to enlist buy-in and build support for initiatives
  • Strong analytical stills - ability to integrate concepts/connect the dots
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes in the environment and priorities - comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to remain productive under pressure that comes from shifting priorities, deadlines, etc.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in teams
  • Human Capital consulting/analytics, Change Management and/or Talent Management experience a plus
