Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is a 64-bed Residential Treatment Center that offers quality behavioral health services to adolescent males and females aged 7-21 with psychiatric, behavioral, or conduct issues.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Develop instructional plans based on South Carolina state curriculum standards
  • Conduct educational assessments of residents
  • Maintain contacts with patients' schools to facilitate re-entry upon discharge
  • Participate in activities that enhance professional growth and development
  • Enjoy single-gender classes no larger than 12 students
  • Participate in a flexible, accommodating school day with extensive planning time
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and current South Carolina Teaching Certification--science or math preferred
  • Knowledge of educational principles and methodologies as applied to students with emotional and learning problems
  • Skilled in assessment, planning, organization, evaluation, and educational interpretation
  • Consistently meet deadlines
  • Enjoy working as a team player to develop the best learning environment for the students
  • Provide outstanding service excellence
